“Old guy, huh,” I tickle her, causing my softened cock to come out of her.

“Oops, look what you did,” she says, still laughing.

I kiss her senselessly, listening to her moans. Neither of us are ready for another round after that one, but I can feel my cock stirring slightly.

I break the kiss and pull her into my chest, holding her tight as we both fall asleep.

CHAPTER EIGHT

SAMANTHA

We pull up to Matt and Alisa’s place. Connor turns off the ignition as I sit here in the passenger seat, nervous about what is going to happen when we walk in. I’m worried about how Alisa will react to the news of Connor and I.

Connor grabs my hand and squeezes, “Are you sure about this?”

“I don’t know,” I admit in a whisper.

“I don’t have to go in. I can come back and pick you up afterward,” he offers, and I realize I am being ridiculous.

“No, I want you to come in, and I want to tell Alisa about us.” I squeeze his hand back.

He smiles at me and then gets out of the car, coming around to my side, opening the door, and helping me out. We walk to the front door of a cute little house and ring the doorbell.

Alisa answers the door quickly and stands there in shock when she sees Connor, “Chief Yates, I didn’t realize you were coming?”

“I hope it’s okay, Alisa.”

“Of course, come in, both of you,” she says, looking at me with confusion in her eyes.

I give her a smile and a hug as I walk in the door.

“You have something to tell me?” she asks me in a whisper, and I hum in her ear before we pull apart.

"Come on into the kitchen, Matt is just prepping the steaks,” she says as she closes the door.

We walk into the kitchen, and I say hello to Matt, introducing him to Connor.

“Welcome, Connor, grab a beer out of the fridge, and you can help me on the grill.”

“Sure,” Connor replies, grabbing a beer out of the fridge, and following Matt outside.

I look over at Alisa, “How is the house hunting going?”

“Not well, but I’m hopeful we will find what we are looking for,” she says, rubbing her growing bump. “I just hope it’s before this one is born.”

I nod my head.

“Okay, I’ve given you a few minutes, now why is Chief Yates here? What is going on?”

“Connor and I are seeing each other,” I state simply, getting the salad fixings out to make a salad.

“What? How long has this been going on?”

“A month, officially.”

“What does that mean?”

“The night of your wedding, he took me home, and we kissed, but he called it a mistake and walked away,” I say, with hurt in my voice at the memory.
