It’s habit.

A terrible habit.

I send my friends kisses at the end of all my messages.

I want to cut off my fingers.

Sinking into my chair, I contemplate letting it go and playing dumb. I can hope he doesn’t notice.

No.

I need to do something.

Jake,

Please ignore the kisses in the previous email. It’s habit and now I want to die.

It won’t happen again.

Although, like I said, it’s a habit, so it may happen again.

Just always ignore it or block my email.

Kind Regards,

Claire Russell.

How do I successfully ramble through email?

“You’re an idiot, Claire.”

I need some sage.

No amount of deep breathing is going to get me out of this.

My computer dings and I think I’m going into cardiac arrest.

Dear Ms. Russell,

Please pass her details to the HR department. She can start when she’s ready.

Her internship will be paid.

Kisses in an email are highly unprofessional.

Regards,
