“Kens,” he says, and I grin.

“Come on,” Enzo groans as he pushes off the wall. “At least use her full name.”

“Don’t you haveanywhereelse to be?” Ezra snaps, and I barely bite back a laugh. Ian and I glance at each other again.

We had no idea Ezra and Enzo were so much alike until things settled down and we moved into this place. After Enzo began to feel safe here, the real him began to shine through. He’s still recovering from everything he’s been through, but he’s good. He’ll be good.

“Come on.” Ian taps his chest and jerks his head over his shoulder.

“Don’t you want to make sure his proposal is good enough for your mom?” he asks, and Ian slides his eyes to me. I huff out a quiet laugh and drop Ezra’s hand.

Grabbing my carrots and mustard, I walk around them. “Try again tomorrow,” I call over my shoulder. Ezra groans as he gets to his feet, his knees popping. “Maybe when the boys are busy with school.”

I laugh as I plop on the couch. Rasputin jumps onto the couch and curls beside me, breathing hard. He stares at me until I give him a piece of carrot, then he jumps down and takes off down the hall.

Listening to the boys talk and laugh in the kitchen makes a smile spread across my face as I eat my weird pregnancy craving. Ezra sits beside me, his shoulders slumped.

“Yes,” I whisper. He glances at me, the box still clutched in his hand. “I’ll marry you, Ez.”

When he gives me that slow grin of his, all I see is Kiwi. All I see is Ezra.

All I see is my future, and the love of my life.

THE END
