My gaze flits to the altar right as my groom turns around and meets my eyes.

Harry. My dashing groom.

The one and only man in this world for me. I pause, relief flooding me at the sight of him standing at the altar.

God—he looks so confident up there. My biggest weakness.

And when he smiles that warm, inviting, genuine smile, it all comes rushing back to me. The feeling of safety that comes from being in his arms. The way I get lost every time we kiss. The sensations he ignites with just the brush of his fingertips across my skin.

That’s why I’d marry this man again and again and again. Because he feels like home.

My heart somersaults. It flips and cartwheels and jumps. Did Ireallyget this lucky? To share my life with the one person who was built to love only me?

He’s mine. There is nothing sexier in this world than knowing he isallmine.

This is a dream come to life.

At the altar, I join hands with my groom. Harry stares adoringly at me and the minister begins to recite the traditional wedding script. But I’m too captivated by my husband to even hear what the man is saying.

Harry slips a ring onto my finger. A real one, this time. A white gold diamond-paved band with the wordsDream Girlinscribed on the inside.

Just like in my dream, I feel butterflies flutter to life when the pastor invites Harry to kiss the bride.

That’sme, y’all. That’s me.

Our smiling lips come together and the church fills with hoots and cheers from our families and friends. Our passion and love for each other spill out, wrapping us up in a cocoon of happy feelings.

Soon after, Harry and I burst out of the arched double doors into the summer sun. I get a handful of uncooked rice to the face and I try to spit up the grains that cling to my lipstick.

I grip onto my husband’s arm, delirious and laughing, as we run down the cathedral steps two at a time.

An all-white classic Rolls Royce awaits us and we slip into the backseat, waving at our wedding guests as we pull away from the curb. It’s like a movie playing out in real life as I stare back at the crowd cheering us on from the foot of the church steps.

I feel Harry’s hand on my jaw and he gently draws my attention to him. “Hi…” he says softly.

It is physically impossible for my smile to grow any wider. “Hi…Fancy running into you here.”

He laughs. “No one else I’d rather run into in the back of my wedding limo.”

We fall into a soft, lingering kiss that steals my breath. I’m so overwhelmed in the best possible way. When we ease apart, there are tears clouding my eyes.

“What’s wrong, baby?” My groom pulls a white silk handkerchief from his breast pocket and gently blots my eyes. Such a gentleman.

“I’m just so happy,” I confess quietly as I get lost in his dark gaze. “I love you so much. You make me feel important. You make me feel like it matters when I walk into the room. I love the way you paint me pictures with your words. You make me want to dream out loud. You don’t just make me happy. You make me better. You make me a better person. That’s a gift I didn’t realize I needed.”

My best friend. My lover. My personal hype man all wrapped up in one.

He lifts my knuckles to his lips, depositing a soft kiss on the finger that wears his ring. “Getting to love you is the greatest honor of my life, Nadia.”

I swallow. “This is the kind of love I’ve always wanted.”

Harry doesn’t hesitate. “It’s the kind of love you deserve. It’s the kind of love I’ll give you every day for the rest of my natural life. And in all my lifetimes after that. I meant what I said to you a long time ago, Dream Girl.”

“What’s that?” I smile.

“I’m going to want you. Forever. My heart will always be yours.” He gives me another soft kiss. “For me, it’s you or no one else.”

My heart flutters so hard, I’m afraid we’ll have to ask the driver to make a quick detour to the emergency room. “You came out of nowhere and changed everything for me, Harry Westbrook. All my perfectly-laid plans went out the door the first time you kissed me. Your love was the wild card I didn’t see coming.”
