Am I?

I look down, noticing my hands are trembling. Beau reaches for my wrist, pressing his fingers to the side of it.

"Your pulse is racing. You're terrified. Seriously, is this because ofhim? You don't need to be frightened. Here, sit down and take a breath."

He pulls me towards the bed, grabbing my shoulders and guiding me to sit down on the edge of the blanket. I tense up, trying to make myself as small as possible. If I thought I was embarrassed earlier at the field, I was wrong.

Beau steps back to give me some space, crossing his arms over his bare chest. "Addie, you're not in trouble. You're safe. You just scared the crap out of me. I thought you were still out walking when I didn't see you in the living room."

I force a laugh. "I didn't want to be walking around the quiet campus. I figured it was better to come back. Stupid decision really."

"Is this about last night?" Beau asks sharply. "You're trying to avoid us. Not to mention the running. Chrizz said you took a fall at the field. Why would you try to do something you're not comfortable with?"

Shrugging, I stare at the floor like it's the most interesting thing I've ever seen. "I thought maybe I could find thathealthy outletand prove everyone wrong. Once again – stupid decision."

Beau falls quiet, pondering my words. He breaks the silence finally, looking down at me.

"I think you need to be open to the possibility that not everything is black and white. Maybe you need to open your mind up and see what options you have."

"I just don't know how to," I admit quietly. "I'm at least seven kinds of messed up."

I wait for him to answer but instead he steps towards me.

"Do you trust me?"

My head snaps up, meeting his eyes. "Of course I do. You've done nothing but help me."

Beau nods. "Then trust me. Just give me five minutes to try to change your mind."

"What do you mean?" I say, eyes popping open as Beau drops to his knees in front of me.

His hands fall onto my knees, eyes still locked with mine.

"Give me five minutes to show you what it could be like. You're a facts person, right? You need all the information to be able to make a confident decision. Let me do something."

I gasp as he pushes apart my knees, his hands sliding up my legs towards my shorts.

"Trust me, Addie. Then if you don't like it, we never have to discuss it again."

Chapter 13

I'mnotabletoreply as I sit and gawk at him. His fingers push into the tops of my legs as they trail up my skin, reminding me of how good his fingers felt when they were massaging my feet.

I follow the path of his hands, waiting for them to pause as he reaches the bottom of my shorts. But he continues up, his fingers finding the drawstring on my shorts at the waistband. He pulls the string, his fingers dipping inside the waistband to pull the material away from my hips. His hands grab the sides and starts to tug them down while he motions for me to lift my hips.

"Lift up," he orders, barely giving me time to follow his command as he pulls my shorts and underwear down my legs.

Instinctively, I press my thighs shut, shying away from him.

"Don't hide from me, Hurricane. I want to see all of you," Beau murmurs, his hands pushing my knees apart again.

I feel exposed as he looks down at me warmly, his eyes glued to my pussy. I'm tensed up, frozen as I watch his face, checking for some type of discomfort. But there's none – if anything, he looks like he's taking me all in.

"You're perfect," he murmurs, running his finger along me.

"Oh, God," I mumble, grabbing his pillow and putting it over my face.

He chuckles in response and for a moment, I just pretend no one can see me. I can feel my body reacting to his touch, the wet feeling growing as he trails his finger back and forth.
