Like the brothers, Chase is fast. It's hard to tell from just looking at him, but he moves in such a flawless way.

I feel like I'm on a pride high watching them, and feel sad when my cell buzzes in my pocket with my alarm.

"Ah, damn. I have to get to my next class," I murmur to Chrizzy. "It was good seeing you again though."

"Here," she says, motioning to my cell. "Let me give you my number. When you need a break from the boys, you can call me for that coffee."

I hand her my cell with a smile. "Sounds like a plan."

Chapter 19

Thefirstweekofclasses goes surprisingly smooth. We're all so busy with course work that the apartment is in a constant state of quietness as we all come and go at random intervals and study.

I forgot how exhausting it was getting back into a rhythm, so when I walk back inside from the campus for the final time that week, I collapse on the couch face first.

Chase looks up amused from his seat at the end, textbook in his lap.

"That bad?"

"I'm so tired I could sleep for a week," I groan into the cushion.

Chase laughs, closing his book and putting it aside. "Well, no time for that. I'm taking you out tonight."

I lift my head slightly, glaring at him. "I'm not going to the nightclub. In fact, I'd be happy to not leave the apartment for the entire weekend."

"Aww," he coos and taunts. "But no. We're not going to the club. We're going shopping."

I wave my hand at all. "Do the groceries yourself, man."

"I'm not talking about food shopping. We're going clothes shopping," he muses.

I sit up, giving him my attention. "For you?"

"No, for you," Chase grins. "I think we've done plenty ofworkexperiencethis week that it's time for you to get back on the dating horse."

I've spent my nights alternating between his and Beau's rooms. It's true, he does snore a bit but I've been so tired that I've barely noticed.

"I don't have any money for clothes," I grumble. "I've only worked two shifts this week."

Chase's jaw twitches, his eyes dancing. Instantly, I realize he's keeping a secret.

"What are you not telling me, Chase?" I ask.

He cracks up laughing, letting out a loud boom. "So, I may have done a thing…"

"What thing?" I press, hesitantly.

Chase looks at me innocently, but his eyes are still shining with mischief. "Remember how I made that joke about blackmailing anal pimple?"

"Oh, God," I mutter, horrified.

"Hear me out," he starts. "I did, in fact, create a profile and send some photos and screenshots to him and that brunette. Bless their little hearts, they were certainly jumpy about keeping their dirty laundry a secret. Something about angry daddies and reputations."

My mouth flies open. "You blackmailed them? You actually blackmailed them?"

"Yep," Chase grins. "And they have sent you some money for your silence. So, naturally… the best revenge is using their wealth to treat yourself and get back out in the dating world."

"You honestly scare me," I mumble. "How did you even get them from the Cloud?"
