Asmyconsciousnessslowlyreturns, I become aware of my surroundings. I'm lying on the ground in a clearing, surrounded by trees, with my hands bound in front of me. The darkness has deepened, and the moon casts an eerie glow over the clearing, creating haunting shadows that seem to dance around me.

The clearing is eerily quiet, except for the distant rustling of leaves and the occasional hoot of an owl. I struggle to free my hands, but the bindings are too tight, and my attempts only cause them to dig deeper into my skin.

I can't see anyone else around, but that doesn't mean I'm alone. I struggle to sit up, my bound hands making it difficult to gain leverage. I search the ground for something sharp or any tool that might help me escape, but there's nothing within reach that I can see.

I take a few deep breaths to steady myself. I need to think clearly and come up with a plan. Gathering my strength, I push myself up to my feet and carefully assess my surroundings. The trees loom over me, and the darkness makes it difficult to determine any landmarks or paths.

I have no idea which direction might lead to safety or even where I am.

“Hey, Little Darling.”

I can’t tell which direction the modulated voice is coming from. Looking around, I still can’t see anyone in the shadows, and the voice seemed to come from every direction all at once.

I stop moving; it is useless looking for them if they don’t want to be found. I take a deep breath making sure to project my voice as strong as I can. “What am I doing here?”

A chuckle echoes around me. “We feel like it's time for some role playing, Little Darling. Instead of you hunting us, we are going to hunt you. Through this forest. In the dark.”

My heart skips a beat then speeds up in my chest. “What happens if you catch me?”

Laughter fills the air, sending shivers down my spine. “Hmmmm maybe we’ll kill you…”

A second voice speaks, still modulated but there’s a slight difference to it allowing me to pick up the change. “Or maybe we’ll fuck you…”

A hum sounds before a voice speaks again. “Maybe we’ll fuck you and then kill you.”

Another chuckle. “Hell, maybe we’ll kill you while we fuck you. Who knows...”

“Depends on our mood.” Their laughter blends together, creating an unsettling soundtrack to the pounding of my heart. It continues to echo around me, and I can't shake the feeling of being completely surrounded.

My mind races, trying to come up with a plan to escape. The darkness and the unknown terrain make it challenging to even begin to formulate a strategy. My instincts tell me to run, to try and find a way out of this, but with my hands bound, I feel vulnerable and exposed.

I take another deep breath, trying to remain composed. They wouldn’t really kill me, would they? Why would they have gone through all of the effort if they were just going to kill me?

They are just trying to scare me. Make me run like a scared rabbit right into their arms. Two could play this game. Well, three actually.

Clearing my throat I look around at the trees. They are there somewhere, out of sight. “Hardly seems fair, making me try to escape you with my hands bound.”

Another chuckle sounds, echoing around the clearing. “Well, you proved that you couldn’t control your hands, Little Darling. I told you not to move them, now this is your punishment.”

Well, fuck.

I had been warned.

“How about this, Little Darling, if you make it out of this forest, we will take you home as though this never happened.”

I narrow my eyes at the shadows. “No, I have another deal for you instead.”

One of them hums before a voice sounds again. “And what deal would that be, Little Darling? You don’t exactly hold all the cards here.”

“I’ll play along, I’ll be your little rabbit, I’ll even scream nice and loud for you, but I want something big in exchange.”

A chuckle comes again but there’s a more serious edge to it this time. “Always a negotiation, Little Darling.”

I raise my chin in defiance. “You want something from me? Well I want something from you.”

There is barely a hesitation before a voice comes again. “Hmmm, okay Little Darling. Be a good little rabbit, and we will give you something you truly want.”
