Amelia giggled and shook her head, careful not to wake Ky, named by his father. “You won’t even mate me, and here you are, talking aboutourfamily.”

Wilder nodded and reached out to take the boy into his arms. At the sight of big, strong Wilder holding his baby nephew, Amelia’s whole body quivered. “It looks good on you too,” she whispered. “You’re going to be a good father one day.”

“Grumpy,” he amended.

“Not when I’m around,” she corrected.

“Not when you’re around,” he repeated with a laugh. He looked down at the child, who began to stir in his swaddling. “I can’t believe Rylee is a mother. I’m an uncle. The pack is growing more and more. It’ll mean more responsibility for me.”

“You can always delegate,” she pointed out. “Ryland and Canaan are good brothers. I’m sure they would be more than happy to help you take on more of the company roles once the pack takes up more of your time.”

Wilder sniffed the baby’s head. “I think once I’m a father, I’ll take a bit of a back seat in the company. I want to be around.”

Amelia smiled. “Oh?”

“And if you want to work at a library, you can. I’ll stay home with the children.”

She giggled. “How very modern of you. I literally thought you would be the last man to say that.”

“I never thought you would come back to me. I didn’t think we would ever have this chance together. I want you to have it all, Amelia. If you want a job—acareer—then you’ll have it. If you want to stay at home with the kids, we can do that too. I just want you to be happy.”

“I am happy,” she said. “It’ll be even better when we’re back home, and all of the Greg business is behind us.”

“You want to go back to London?”

She nodded. “Of course, I do. How else can we jet off to the house in the Alps on the weekend if we’re living in New York?”

“There would be a way,” he hedged.

Amelia laughed. “I know, but you like London, and I would like to change how I remember that city. It’s a beautiful and vibrant place. I want to actually explore it now that I’m free.”

Ky stirred again, this time even going so far as to open his eyes. The baby fussed and cried for his mother. Rylee was soon to join them. “Did you pinch the baby?” she asked, laughing. “He was milk drunk and completely out a second ago.”

“I think he wants you,” Wilder said as his sister took her baby in her arms.

“He better,” she laughed. “He’s been playing with my internal organs for months. His cute face has a lot to make up for.” Rylee winked at Amelia. “It’s super worth it, though. One day soon, I bet I’ll be the one cooing overyourbaby.”

Rylee giggled and left them alone in Wolverton manor’s library.

“Good thing we were already talking babies,” Amelia said. “Or that could have totally scared me away.”

“Really?” He didn’t believe her.

“Well, no. I don’t think anything can scare me away. I’m with you for the long haul,” she said as she sat on his lap.

“Life is a little longer when you love a wolf. I’m going to make up for lost time, Amelia.” He tucked her hair behind her ear. “That’s a promise, love.”

Amelia’s heart fluttered. “Wilder,” she whispered, too moved to say anything else.

“I love you, Amelia. This is what it is to love a wolf.”

“No,” she replied. “It’s what it is to be loved byyou. Wilder Wolverton, mywolf.”

The Wolverton familywas a joy to be with. Though the brothers had similar features, there was something distinct about each. Canaan was on the shy side, but when he thawed, he could talk Amelia’s ear off about his favorite video game.

But it was well worth it. Every second word was his mate’s name. Canaan was a wolf completely taken by his mate. It was worth hearing all aboutFantasy Warriorsto hear Canaan explain how he had met Elizabeth.
