Avery has been on edge for the last few weeks. Girl needs a release, Pey.

Peyton

You got a point.

Emiline

My eyes are bleeding. This is one of those instances that you guys need to make another chat…

WITHOUT ME.

Kali

Oh stop, you kinky little minx, you.

Emiline

*leaves group chat*

I can’t help the laugh that escapes me as I catch up on these messages. They just know me so well.

My vibrator works just fine.

Peyton

I used to think that myself… ??

Kali

You deserve the D, girl.

Emiline

ME WRITING *LEAVES GROUP CHAT* DOES NOT MEAN I REALLY LEFT.

THIS. IS. MY. BROTHER. We’re talking about. ??‍??

I laugh as I pocket my phone and wash my hands. When I reenter the kitchen, Cathy is setting the dessert plates on the table and serves us a scoop of the apple crisp.

If you have never had apple crisp, you’re missing out. It’s probably the most delicious dessert I have ever had. It’s mandatory that you scoop a heaping spoonful of vanilla bean ice cream on top though.

“This is my all-time favorite dessert.” I moan as I take a bite of the warm goodness.

“You’ve had it before?” she asks.

“It’s been a while since I have.” I wipe my mouth with a napkin. “But it tastes even better than I remember.”

“I’ve never had it before,” Marc says, scooping another bite into his mouth as if he can’t eat it fast enough. “This is heaven.”

“I will have to give you the recipe.” Cathy laughs at him.

“Please,” Marc begs. “I could eat this every day of my life.”

“Avery, looks like you have to make it for him very soon.”

A laugh bubbles out of me. “I’m not sure I can. My kitchen is way too small. There isn’t enough space for all the steps to making this. Which is probably why I haven’t had it in so long.”
