Leaning forward, Nolan captured Sky’s mouth in a slow, sweet kiss that he didn’t ever want to end. He handed himself over to Nolan, allowing the man to lick along his lips before sliding inside to stroke Sky’s tongue with his own.

Good God, Nolan could kiss.

His toes were curling in his shoes and his fingers tightened in Nolan’s sweater. He needed closer. And he wasn’t the only one.

Nolan’s other hand came up so that both were now holding his face and tangling in his hair as the kiss went deeper and deeper. The rest of the world fell away, and there was only Nolan’s hard body pressing against his and all these annoying clothes between them.

A wolf howl split the night and they jerked apart at the same time. That was close.

The howl was followed by another and another.

Nolan choked. “Shit. We have an audience.”

Sky groaned and glared into the darkness. Was that a pair of reflected eyes watching him? Probably. “Come on! You couldn’t let me have this?”

A wolf yipped, and Sky swore it sounded more like a laugh.Bastard.

“Spread the word: Red got the pig. Go hunt your deer.”

A couple of wolves cried out. More howls followed, but they all sounded as if they were moving farther away, deeper into the thick woods that filled the twenty acres that Moon owned.

“I guess we should head back and see if your friend needs any help with Damon.”

“Okay, but then we need to continue what we were doing before we were interrupted.” Sky snickered when Nolan had to pick up his phone from where he’d dropped it while they’d been kissing. Thankfully, Nolan had left the flashlight on and the beam was pointing up through the brush.

They walked hand in hand back toward Moon’s house, their shoulders bumping into each other.

“I certainly hope you don’t expect me to try to top this night for our second date,” Sky sniped.

Nolan tossed his head back and laughed so hard he nearly fell over into a tree. “Oh, hell no! I love tonight. I love our first date, but I couldn’t do this every time we go out. For the second date, I am totally down for ordering dinner in and watching a movie.”

Sky hummed. “True. There’s a lot to be said for T-shirts and pajama pants while eating Chinese takeout and watching TV.”

“Stretchy, elastic waistbands for starters. No zippers or buttons. I approve.”

“Wow, you say the sexiest things.”

“You have no idea,” Nolan purred, which did dangerous things to Sky’s sanity.

As they reached the edge of the woods and stepped onto thick green grass, they found Red standing not too far away, Damon still clutched tightly in his arms. He figured Red would be closer to the house by now.

Then he caught sight of him.

A strange man was striding across the yard toward them. His dark hair was wild about his head and he looked as if he was wearing a suit with a bow tie. And there was a giant black crow resting on his shoulder.

Because yeah, this night had to get weirder.

Chapter6

Nolan Banks

That person was not human.

Nolan was willing to put money on it.

But he was making that assumption mostly on the basis of the fact the man was talking to the bird on his shoulder as he approached.

“Yes, I know it’s not a real pig. But we must be polite and inquire who these strangers are and why they have a not-pig with them,” the man argued in a low voice.
