I made a colossal mistake. His flavor would stay in my memory for days.

“Well, well, what do we have here? Hey doll,” a new voice cuts in.

We tear our mouths apart, and both look to the door. Another beautiful man stands in it. His teasing, cheerful voice had trailed off. I watch his face drain of color and his eyes flare. The panic in his expression eases slowly. He inspects me, contemplating my position in his friend's arms, and seems to come to a decision. He takes a step closer.

“She’s mine too, brother,” he says, surprised.

“What?” I ask.

“We share her,” Kerian says, looking at his brother with satisfaction.

“Wait, what?” I scowl.

“We are your mates,” Kerian explains. “This is River. Your other mate.” He rubs his thumb across my swollen lips, his eyes gleaming with desire.

I refuse to let my libido distract me. “Uh-huh. Back off, wolf boy.” I push at his arms that still surround me and push him away. “That is not possible,” I shake my head, fierce denial shooting through me. I’ve heard that shifters can recognize their mate through smell, but I never thought it would happen to me.

“It very much is. You belong to us now, as we belong to you,” Kerian states smugly.

“I don’t think so. I don’t belong to anyone, and I’m not in the market for two wolves,” I screech. “I don’t like pets,” I say rudely. With anxiety spurring me on, I lash out and stride around him.

“It is true,” River joins the conversation, coming out of his shocked stupor. “We know you are our mate.”

River is just as tall as Kerian but not as bulky. He has black hair and green eyes like Kerian, except a much darker green. His stance is relaxed, but it’s deceiving. I feel like he is always ready for anything. He has secrets floating in his eyes.

“Okay, I came here to get my car fixed. I got hit on and insulted by the first man-”

“Who?” River asks violently.

“Marcus? I didn’t hear everything he said,” Kerian says harshly.

“Doesn’t matter. I came here to get my car fixed, not to find mates,” I finish.

“I’ll kill him. I’ll torture him first, then kill him,” River says gleefully.

“You will not,” I exclaim, alarmed.

“You will wait for me to do any torturing,” Kerian grins at River.

They stand in front of me, smiling stupidly at each other.

“Hello?” I hold my arms out. “Can I just get my damn car fixed?”

“Of course, mate.” Kerian gets close again and cradles my face. “Stay here. No matter what you hear, alright?”

“What do you mean?” I ask.

“We have to take care of something, and then we’ll get to your car.”

Kerian doesn’t wait for a response and strides purposefully through the door. River starts to follow but pauses to look at me.

“Stay inside the office, sweetheart. When we get back, I want a taste,” he smirks.

I stand frozen to the floor. I should walk out that door, out of the shop, down the street, and call a cab. Or walk my horny ass home and forget all of this happened.

Instead, I sit weakly in the chair in front of the desk and pull out my phone. I angrily push the buttons to call Harmony.

“What the fuck? Did you know your brother would think I was his mate when you sent me here?” I ask as soon as she says hello.
