“Dude, you are asking for it,” Blue says.

“What?” Bishop asks innocently.

“How about we go?” I ask as Bash tightens his grip.

“Sounds good,” Bishop says, walking over to us.

Bash slaps his hand on his chest. “Hold up. Where are you going?”

“I didn’t get to that part. I’m going with you.” Bishop crosses his arms. “Well, with you but separately. This guy doesn’t know me. I got an invitation. You need someone in there with you.”

Bash studies him. “How did you get an invitation?”

“Not important. Think about Marie,” Bishop urges.

“Fine. Don’t fuck it up,” Bash says. He looks at everyone else. “Get the fuck out of my apartment now.”

“Bash,” I whisper.

He looks at me. “Please—get the fuck out of my apartment.”

I laugh. Bash picks me up to move me out of the way of the parade of friends shuffling out. Bishop winks at me and waits in the hall. Bash locks everything and guides me down to his car, and reaches over to buckle me in.

My palms are sweaty, and my stomach turns. This is extreme for me, going into an unknown place. As long as Bash doesn’t leave me alone, I should be fine, but if we get separated for some reason, I may puke. I am compelled to do this for the women that may not want to be there. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I ignored it and walked away.

“Bash,” I whisper. “Don’t leave me alone.”

“I would never do that. I know what happens there,” he assures me. He laces his hand with mine and puts our joined hands on his thigh.

He looks gorgeous. He added a jacket to his usual outfit. I wish I could have worn my combat boots too. It’s not fair how effortlessly hot he is.

“I forgot to tell you how good you look,” I say softly.

“Thanks, baby,” he says.

“I love how you do your hair,” I continue.

“Really? Not much to it.” He smiles.

“Well, I love it,” I say.

“I’m glad,” he says, squeezing my hand.

“I love your eyes, too,” I gush.

“Not much to that either,” he chuckles.

“Just saying,” I say.

“Appreciate it,” he says.

“I can’t stop the image of you naked popping in my head,” I sigh.

“Your image is burned into my brain,” he says huskily.

“Good.”

“Are you nervous?” he asks knowingly.
