“So agreeable.” I smirk against her lips.

“The man I love wants to fuck me three times in a row. Who am I to say no?” She giggles against my mouth, and I want to die and come back to life.

“God, Billie. I love your giggles.”

Since neither of us knows the place, I walk around with her petite body hanging onto me. It’s not very hard. There’s a living room, an open kitchen, and one hallway leading to two bedrooms and a bathroom. As simple as they come.

Just like I promised, I fuck Billie in the shower and on the kitchen counter.

In bed, I make love to her like I never had to anyone. Her gentle moans and whimpers when she comes all over my dick could be the end of me.

In fact, I have no doubt that Billie will be my demise. If we don’t leave this town soon, we will both be each other’s downfall.

I don’t have to think about this tonight, though. For the first time, we can sleep next to each other without worrying about anything. We can just relax and pretend the North Shore doesn’t exist.

“Where should we go on vacation?” We’re both under the covers naked. She’s resting her head on my chest and has a leg curled around my hips. Because I’m obsessed with it, I keep playing with her soft hair. Braiding it, untangling it, rolling and unrolling it around my pinkie.

“Vacation?” she snorts. “Did you win the lottery?”

I shrug. “I’m pretending we made it out.”

“Caden,” she sighs. “Please, you’re hurting both of us when you do this. I’m not competing anymore. It was my only way out.”

“I know,” I answer tensely. I clench my jaw and release, trying not to snap at her. “But I also want to leave. I have my plan, too.”

“Your plan is for one.”

“Billie, please,” I let out in a desperate tone. “Play along. We’re in a Stoneview mansion. Just amuse me foronenight.”

She stiffens, staying silent until her shoulder relaxes. “New York City.”

“Come on, at least leave the country. It’s a big vacation. Unlimited money.”

“Fine,” she huffs. “Canada. Ontario. I want to see Niagara Falls.”

I grin to myself. “Think bigger, baby.”

“Caden,” she snaps. “You fucking choose since you have big dreams.”

I chuckle, and my hand leaves her hair to grab her jaw, pressing her cheeks tightly, a gentle warning to be good.

“Alright,” I let my head fall back and close my eyes. “Japan.”

“Japan?” she chokes. “That’s so far.”

“Yeah. First, because we wouldhaveto take a plane. How cool is that? First time on a plane, and we’ll get our membership card to the Mile-High club.”

She giggles and turns until she’s lying perpendicular to me, the back of her head on my chest, gazing up at me. “Intense for your first flight ever.” I open my eyes and look down at her.

“Go big or go home, baby. Then we’ll land in Tokyo and get to a super cool hotel. The kind where we can have a huge suite. I want a sofa in my hotel room.”

“And a jacuzzi,” she adds.

“Oh yeah. We’ll try all their food. Imagine the sort of things they have over there that we never tried here.”

“All the mangas we never heard of and won’t even understand because we can’t read Japanese,” she says excitedly.

“We’ll find lots of Full Metal Alchemist merch,” I add. My stomach flutters with butterflies of hope. It warms my chest and pains my heart because a part of me knows it’s just a dream.
