ChapterTwelve

CHESS

Alice stood in the center of the clearing, the Vorpal Sword clutched in her hands as she examined the ancient runes etched along its blade.

Her blue dress was ripped at the seams and stained with blood and dirt. Her blonde hair was tangled around her face and pooling on her ample breasts in sweaty, blood-caked tendrils. She looked disheveled, exhausted, and utterly triumphant.

A surge of pride swelled in my chest and my cock at the sight of her.

Oh, Alice.

My clever, maddening mortal.

“Guys? Where the hell are you?”

Although I didn’t enjoy hearing the undertones of concern in dear her voice, I absolutely relished how it made me feel for her to long for me.

To want me.

Toneedme.

As if she’d ever be rid of me now.

Oh no...

She might’ve had her pussy and her ass plundered by Hatter’s cock, but my tongue had been there first. Licked her first. Filled her first.

Claimed her first.

Her ass might belong to Hatter, but that pussy wasmine.

I hovered in the ether, invisible to them both, simply watching as Alice carried out her destiny.

She’d done it.

The darling creature had proven Callister wrong and successfully carried out her mission to retrieve the Vorpal Sword.

So what if I’d given her a little nudge in the right direction? I hadn’t given her the answer to Hatter’s riddle.

Not outright.

I’d merely guided her towards the place where she was already headed, then left her alone to figure it out.

Hatter stumbled into the clearing from behind the boulders where he’d been waiting and brushed a few leaves from his threadbare top hat. I materialized out of the ether, taking my human form.

The worry melted off of Alice’s beautiful face as we came into her view. Her lips curved into a smile at the sight of us. Then she lifted up the Vorpal Sword in triumph.

Her prize was finally in her precious hands.

“Well done, Alice,” Hatter sighed in relief, his eyes shining with admiration. “That wasn’t an easy riddle to solve. I knew you had it in you.”

“I couldn’t have done it without your help,” she admitted, offering the weapon to me for inspection.

The runes on the blade were there for protection against harm, and I twirled the blade through my fingers with practiced ease.
