He turns around, that lovesick haze disappearing from his face.

“Damn. That was quite a show you two gave. I’m almost sad that I didn’t catch it from the beginning.”

With a stoic expression stitched to his face, Levi crosses his arms over his chest, a tactic he likes to use to intimidate.

But it’s all lost on me.

“Are you drunk?” he asks, with a chastising hint to his tone.

“Haven’t had a drop of wine all night.” I throw him my best cocky smirk.

“You sound off,” he rebukes, his forehead creasing as he scrutinizes me from head to toe.

“Maybe it’s because I’m still trying to understand why I just caught you dancing with my girl.”

“Your girl?” He laughs.

“Yes, my girl.” I stab my chest with my finger, looking dead serious.

“We’ll see about that,” he scoffs, passing me and purposely hitting my shoulder with his.

“Yes, we will,” I mutter under my breath as I watch his bulky frame leave from my sight.

Okay, so yes, Levi is bigger and maybe even stronger than me.

Taller, too, the big fucking mammoth.

And yes, he might even be considered more intelligent when it comes to the ways of the world since he’s seen his fair share of it.

And amongst all those lists of qualities, he also has one more that I lack.

Honor.

And that shit is bound to get in his way and fuck him up.

Me?

I have no honor.

I’ll lie, cheat, and steal to get what I want.

And it just so happens that what I want, Levi wants too.

I can handle Atlas and his schoolboy crush. Atlas doesn’t scare me.

But Levi?

He’s a threat.

A threat that has only been made evident to me now.

Better late than never, I always say.

Because now that I know what his true intentions are, it will be so much easier for me to crush them.
