Then, there’s Sadie. Her jersey was stolen from Fallon’s closet. She’s wearing it like a long shirt like myself and has heels on because she’s braver than all of us. Her hair is also in high pigtails. We help each other finish up our makeup, and when we’re done, we stand side by side.

“We look sexy,” Nissa announces.

“We look like we’re looking for trouble,” Sadie smirks, and I snort a laugh.

“Hey, the name on this jersey is mine!” I defend, which makes Sadie frown.

“Oh, right. But wait…” I can see where her mind went, so I fill her in.

“His name is Rays-Dunn. He took Scott’s name, Dunn, at fourteen. His dad took my mom’s last name when they married, and so did Holden. Rays. He wanted to honor the man that adopted him, though, so now he’s Rays-Dunn. I’ve always been a Rays. My mother never took my father's last name. Something about the patriarchy…” I say with a shrug, and Sadie nods. “So Holden’s been using Rays since he was sixteen. I guess at the time he wanted everyone to know he was Nix’s brother.”

“Ahh, got it. Fallon and I just kept our original last names.” She shrugs, and Nissa sighs wistfully.

“One day, I’ll be a Tatum.” She turns to try and get a look at the back of Rob’s jersey.

“Yeah, you will!” I hoot, tackling them both into a hug.

“But if you don’t get your cute butt out the door, we’ll miss the party bus, so go!” I scold, rushing them both out the door. We hustle to the guys’ house, huffing and puffing, but glad to see the bus still parked on the curb.

“We made it!” Nissa squeals, leaping into Rob’s arms. He chuckles.

“Of course, you did, baby. I wasn’t about to let them leave without my girl,” he coos, and Sadie and I make faces at them.

“Oh, get a room!”

“You’re making the rest of us jealous,” I grumble playfully.

“Fuck me in the ass,” I hear from behind me. I turn to the guys as they all pile onto the street. I lift a brow at Holden. In the ass, huh?

“Sinful,” Nash grumbles, and I giggle.

“Thank you,” I say, bowing. “You like?” I do a spin, and Holden looks around before leaning forward.

“You trying to fucking kill me? Jesus, Rose, you look insane in my jersey.” His husky words make me shiver.

“Troublemaker,” Ren adds, lifting a brow. I shrug and then follow Sadie and Nissa onto the bus. Once everyone is on, they start the music, and the guy driving us heads out.

Holden takes a seat across from me, and I watch as he tucks his hands under his legs, looking like he’s in pain.

Nash is next to me and catches me staring.

“Look what you did to your stepbrother, Rose,” Nash scolds, shaking his head. “Radioactive.”

“Still rude,” I hiss.

“Still true. Forbidden pussy, slowly turning us all into villains. This is why I made a no-touching rule. Thank fuck, you changed your mind,” he sighs.

“I didn’t change my mind!” I yelp a little too loudly, snapping Ren and Holden’s attention to me. “I didn’t. You’ve just been busy. There hasn’t been a good time,” I mumble, making Nash grin.

“Truth or dare?” Nash asks, and I nibble my lip. My heart rate picks up, and I realize exactly how badly I’ve missed this.

“Truth.”

“Is it true you wore this jersey just to fuck with us?” Nash asks, and I shake my head.

“I was hoping it would get your attention,” I admit. “Still a virgin. Still have no idea what I’m doing. Your turn. Truth or dare?”

“Truth.”
