I feel her muscles clamping down and move my lips to her clit again and bite down gently. It’s all she needs, and she explodes around my fingers as my name is wrenched from her lips.
I continue to lick her tenderly as her trembling subsides and she pants to catch her breath.
After her shudders calm, I release my hold, and her limp body falls forward. I catch her and pull her into my arms. Her sweat-slick chest against mine.
That’s when we hear the knock at the door.
“Zoey, are you up?” Scooter’s voice calls from outside.
Her eyes go wide, and her hand comes up to cover my mouth.
“What do you need, Scooter?” she squeaks.
“Do you have any milk?”
“Why do you need milk in the middle of the night?” she asks.
“The stupid bear destroyed ours, and now that I’m wide awake, I can’t fall back asleep without warm milk.”
“Warm milk to sleep is a myth,” she calls.
“What?”
“It doesn’t really do anything to help you sleep.”
“It does for me. My mom made it for me every night when I was a kid. Come on, Zoey. I’m desperate. I promise to replace it tomorrow.”
I pry her hand from my mouth and whisper, “Why didn’t you tell him you didn’t have any?”
She jumps up and starts to pick her clothes up.
“Zoey? You still there?”
“Yes, Scooter. You’re going to wake everyone up. Give me a minute,” she cries.
“Do you have company?” he asks.
“Oh my God, he heard us,” she hisses.
You have got to be fucking kidding me.
She runs over to the refrigerator as I pull on my sweats and tee and go to the door.
“Morris,” she calls.
I swing the door open. “Seriously, Scooter, what are you, twelve years old?”
His head shoots up, and his eyes go wide when he sees me. “Dude, what are you doing here?”
“I was sleeping on Zoey’s couch, thanks to you,” I snap.
“Because of me?” he asks, confused.
“She was scared the bear would come back, so I offered to stay and keep an eye out for it.”
He grimaces. “Ah, man, I’m sorry.”
Zoey walks over, carrying the carton of milk. “Here you go.”
