“We can’t just sit here and let this happen. We need to follow them,” Brandee suggests.

When an unsuspecting Graham arrives, we all pile in, and Erin starts giving him directions.

“Where are we going exactly?” Graham asks Taeli.

She shrugs.

“Taeli, tell me,” he demands.

“I really don’t know.”

He looks in the rearview mirror at Erin. “Erin, why do you have me driving around in circles?”

“We’re trying to get to Kinley’s house,” she admits.

“Kinley Adams?”

She nods.

He takes the next right and then pulls into a neighborhood.

“This is it,” Erin bellows.

Graham stops in the street, beside a white craftsman-style home.

We all sit and watch. For what, I’m not sure.

After a few moments, Graham asks if any of us are going to the door.

We all look at each other.

“No, we’ll just wait a bit longer,” Jena says.

“Wait for what?” he asks.

“Um, for Kinley to come home?” Anna says.

When no one says anything else, Graham speaks again. “Are we gonna be much longer? I need to go to the bathroom.”

“You’re a man, just pee out the window,” Erin says.

“I’m not peeing in Mrs. Adams’s bushes.”

Erin leans over to speak in Taeli’s ear. “Why did you bring him?”

“I had to. We’re married now. And we needed a ride,” Taeli replies.

Erin turns to Ansley. “See what’s going to happen to you?”

“Nah, Garrett will rarely be in town when we need a spur-of-the-moment getaway driver on one of our stalking adventures,” Ansley says.

“That’s true,” Jena agrees.

“Stalking?” Graham cuts his eyes to Taeli.

She slides down in her seat.

He cranks the truck and heads back toward town without saying another word.
