“What are you talking about?”
I cut my eyes at him. “Don’t play stupid, Malakai. I saw you both walk inside. I saw her hands on your waist and you whispering something into her ear.” I paused for a moment and I took a deep breath as I felt my anxiety heightening. “You ignored me all day and then you were here with her.”

“That’s how you knew I was up here.”
He nodded. “I’ll always find you, Winter.”
“Promise?”
