I wanted to flip her over, strip her naked and fuck her hard and fast, but even if she was willing, I didn't think she was ready.

Her body vibrated against me as she cried out, her speed picking up with each thrust hitting her clit through the very thin layer of clothes she wore.

When her body tensed as she exploded, coming apart on top of me, I wrapped my arms around her pulling her hard against me, feeling her chest heaving as she came down from her high. Her head dropped to my shoulder as her breathing steadied.

"You are so fucking hot when you come," I purred against her throat, and she smiled against my shoulder. "You still want me to stay the night?"

"Yes."

I lifted from the couch with her still wrapped around me and carried her to bed. I crawled onto the bed, releasing her. My mouth captured hers in a slow, deliberate kiss that heated my insides. I broke from the kiss and rolled to the side of her knowing I wouldn't be able to stop myself if I kept going. I pulled her into me, which was exactly how we fell asleep.

Chapter 23

Christian

Glancing out the window, I noticed Chloe's truck parked in front of the pool house. She was here earlier than I expected. Today was prom, and Chloe and Harper were going to spend the day getting ready. I pulled my shirt over my head and headed down the stairs to the first floor.

"Christian," Aiden yelled. I rounded the corner into the kitchen, where Harper stood fist on hips, her dark brows furrowed, and lips thinned into a line.

"What are you doing here?" I let my gaze travel over the length of her. I wanted to pull her into me and kiss her, but she didn't look like she was in the mood. Her hand flattened on the counter with a smack, and my credit card was sitting on the counter when she lifted it. I wasn't exactly sure where this was going. I'd given the credit card to Chloe to take care of anything Harper needed today, but for some reason, Harper was slamming it on the counter.

"Christian," she hissed. "I can do my own hair and make-up for prom." I narrowed my eyes. I wasn't sure what she was getting at. "I appreciate everything you've done for me. Everything. But I can't be your girlfriend and your charity case." Raising my brows, my head tilted, and the corner of my mouth curved up.

"Did you just refer to yourself as my girlfriend?" I teased. Her face fell, and her cheeks flushed. I reached out, running my thumb over the pink in her cheeks. We'd never laid a label on what we were. It never occurred to me that I would need to. She was mine. I knew it, she knew it, the guys knew it, the entire school knew it, and if the Villa Boys didn't know it yet, they would soon.

"I don't know what this is or what to call it," she started.

"Then we should clear it up right now," I interrupted. "I like you, and I don't want anyone to touch you ever again." I cupped her face forcing her to look up at me. "Not for pain, not for pleasure. So, I guess that makes you mine. My girlfriend."

She smiled, and I leaned in, pressing my lips to hers. Her eyes closed as her body melted into mine.

"Now," I said, pulling myself out of the kiss, "that we've established you aren't my charity case." I reached over, sliding the black credit card off the counter. "And I am just a boyfriend doing something nice for my girlfriend. Take the card and have fun with your friend. Please!"

Grabbing her hand, I put the card into her hand and closed her fingers around it. Her gaze flicked from me to the card, then back to me before she finally nodded. As I watched her disappear out of the house, a smile spread across my face knowing she had just let me win one of the hardest battles I'd ever have with her, and that was not only getting her to realize she could depend on me but also her accepting help from me.

Standing in front of the mirror, I readjusted the vest of my black tuxedo before sliding my arms into my jacket. I hated formal events, but I wanted Harper to have the opportunity to have a normal high school experience, and I couldn't wait to see her all dressed up tonight.

"Christian," Aiden called out from downstairs. I was ready. I turned and strolled down the stairs.

"What's up?" I met Aiden at the bottom of the stairs. Aiden was wearing a similar black tux without the jacket, his dark hair a disheveled mess, and black flip-flops in place of his dress shoes.

"Rumor has it," he said. "Noah is looking for Harper." My posture stiffened at his name in the same sentence as hers. "Some are saying the Villa Boys will start trouble tonight at the dance."

"Is everyone going tonight?" I knew Aiden was going with Chloe, but I didn't know if Bash, Link, Maverick, or Julian planned to go too.

"Yes." He nodded. "They will be here shortly, and we'll all ride together. We have reservations at Nineteen31 for all of us in…" He trailed off, glancing at his watch. "Thirty minutes."

"Okay," I said, inhaling a deep breath. "Are you ready?" My eyes scanned down to his flip-flop.

"Yes." He winked, his lips curling into a grin.

"Let's go get our dates." I chuckled. Chloe was going to punch him in the throat when she saw his flip-flops.

We walked a short distance from the main house to the pool house. The door was unlocked.

"Harper," I called out before stepping inside. "Chloe. We are here."

"Come in," Chloe yelled from the second floor. "We'll be down in a minute."
