Christian and I were from two different worlds.

"The house is a mess," he said once he shoved me out of the SUV, and Lincoln pulled off, wishing him luck. He forcefully guided me to the house by placing his hand on the small of my back. "Clean it up." He shoved me through the front door.

"Wait," I scowled, walking into the messy kitchen. "You want me to clean your house?" Cleaning the trailer was something I tried to do regularly, but it wasn't because they forced me to; it was because if I didn't, no one would. Not that cleaning helped. The trailer was disgusting.

Noah only wanted me to do his dirty work if it involved something illegal, so I was relieved that all Christian wanted me to do was clean.

"Yes," he said.

"Why?"

"Because I said so." He wanted me to know he was in control. He reached back, pulling his shirt over his head before tossing it to the floor.

Swallowing hard, my gaze trailed over every curve of his sculpted torso down to the perfect V leading to… My eyes shot to the ground where his shirt landed. It felt illegal looking at him, even only half-naked. Valley Boys and Villa Girls didn't mix, so being attracted to Christian was unnecessary torture.

The front door flung open, and I was thankful for the distraction until I saw who had stepped through. Alexi Coleman stood in the doorway, still dressed in her school clothes from the day. Alexi was supermodel gorgeous, tall and thin, with long slender legs. Her long blonde hair was always perfectly styled. She flashed an all-white smile when her big blue eyes found Christian half-naked in the stairwell.

"Just in time," she purred, walking up the stairs to him.

"I'm going to get a shower," he said.

Alexi's big blue eyes flicked over her shoulder and widened as she noticed me for the first time; "What's she doing here?"

"Cleaning," he muttered, throwing his arm over her shoulder and guiding her up the stairs. "Oh, and if I even think you've stolen something, I will have my boys hold you down while I strip-search you in front of everyone."

Groaning, I watched the pair disappear up the stairwell. I wasn't a thief! I knew he didn't know that, and I couldn't blame him for thinking I was. I did what I had to do to survive, which was something Christian would never understand.

Noah was cruel. It was his way or no way. Sometimes that meant I had to do things I didn't want to, like break into Christian's house to steal back a bag of weed I wasn't responsible for losing.

The house was eerily quiet until I heard the upstairs shower kick on and then the muffled sounds of Alexi's moans.

Gross!

Aiden's footsteps pounded down the stairs. He jumped over the back of the couch and clicked on the TV. I was thankful for the noise, so I didn't have to hear Christian pounding Alexi upstairs while I cleaned downstairs.

Looking around, I sucked in a deep breath and decided to start in the living room. Even as messy and dirty as their house was, it didn't hold a candle to the dumpy trailer I called home.

Once I found a trash bag, I got started. Christian wasn't kidding when he said it was a mess. It looked like a party house, old red solo cups were lying around, and rotten food, but I gagged when I pulled a used condom from underneath the couch.

"I wondered where that went." Aiden chuckled when he saw what I was holding. "I thought she had stolen it."

Ew!

By the time Christian and Alexi strolled back downstairs, I had everything picked up, a load of laundry started, the living room vacuumed, and I was working on the kitchen.

He led Alexi to the front door, opened it for her, shoved her out, and shut it without a word, no goodbye, no kiss, nothing. It was blatantly obvious Christian didn't do the whole girlfriend thing; in fact, I wasn't even sure he invited a girl back to his bed more than once, except for Alexi. Alexi and Christian had a thing. Not a relationship thing, just a thing. Maybe one day, when he was ready to settle down, it would be more, but right now, it was just a thing.

He grabbed a beer from the fridge, and the front door flew open. Maverick, Lincoln, Sebastian, and Julian sauntered in, taking their places in the living room. Christian's friends were hot and tatted, even if I didn't like to admit it.

Maverick was tall and lean. His dark hair was usually covered with a backward cap, and his lip and eyebrow were pierced. Julian was the shortest of the group, standing only a few inches taller than me, but what he lacked in height, he made up for in muscles. He was thick with dirty blonde hair and dark eyes. Lincoln was tall with full-sleeve tattoos, and his lip was pierced. He usually wore ripped jeans and a white T-shirt. Which was odd considering how much money he had. His dark hair was longer on the top and usually fell over into his blue eyes. Sebastian was the tallest of them all, with the perfect tanned complexion. He had dark hair and eyes. His nose, lip, and eyebrow were pierced. He kept his hair short and usually wore a cap. Sebastian rarely wore a shirt or shoes. From what I'd heard, he was on the basketball team and pretty damn good. Aiden was Christian's younger brother, but the only two similarities the brothers shared were tall, toned, dark hair and eyes. Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to tell they were brothers.

"Damn," Julian said, taking a seat on the black leather recliner. "It looks nice in here. Smells good too."

"What's up, Harper?" Lincoln winked on his way to the couch.

I continued scrubbing the kitchen while they drank and played video games. I was wrapping up when Christian stepped in. He followed me with his dark brown eyes.

"What?" I tied up the garbage bag.
