“Heaven is when I take care of you now, Reaper,” I murmur, peppering two more kisses to her cheek before I lean up.

“What does that mean?”

“It means you get a bath filled with bubbles, a massage, and whatever else your icy fucking heart desires.”

“I knew there was a reason I was meant to love you, Axel.”

“Ditto, Reaper, ditto.”

TWENTY-SIX

Scarlett

The bedand sheets are soft, fluffy clouds. All snuggly and dream-like, but it’s real. Oh-so-fucking real. When I stand though, my legs turn to jelly and it’s a little harder to walk to the door than I expected.

“Throw these on, Scar, then at least if we run into anyone, I don’t have to slaughter them for laying eyes on you,” Axel states, showering me with even more of that crazy-ass love I’m addicted to.

I take the t-shirt and boxer shorts from his hands and quickly dress, but when I move toward the door once more, he sweeps me off in bridal-style and carries me the rest of the way. His heart pounds against my cheek, and his musky scent wraps around me, while I try like hell to keep my hands to myself.

He unlocks the door with me in his arms like it’s not an inconvenience, but he comes to a halt halfway across the threshold. A frown darkens his features and panic worms its way into my chest. When I glance up to see what the issue is, I find Ryker, Gray, and Emmett leaning against the opposite wall.

Their arms are folded, eyebrows raised, and mouths open.

My cheeks instantly heat as realization washes over me. “Uh, I think we had an audience,” I murmur, making Gray chuckle as he pushes off the wall.

“An audience? NASA called, they heard you from the space station.” He’s grinning with bewilderment, but I just shrug as Axel slowly lowers me to the ground.

“I’m not going to apologize. I hope whatever extraterrestrial life form that’s out there heard how good Axel’s dick is.”

Ryker swipes a hand over his mouth, failing to hide his grin, while Emmett shakes his head in disbelief.

“Oh shit, I’m sorry. I’m not saying it to make you feel embarrassed,” Gray quickly rushes out, waving his hand. “I was just confused when I heard the sweet sounds of you climaxing, but saw the three of us sitting together. Which meant only one thing, and I had to be here to see it so I could believe it.”

Axel’s hands ghost over my waist, making me shiver. “We don’t have to make a big deal out of this,” I state, feeling protective of Axel, but as usual, Gray doesn’t get the hint.

“Behave, of course this is a big fucking deal because—”

Axel steps from behind me and presses his palm into Gray’s face, knocking him back a step or two without actually hitting him. A chuckle ripples from my gut, and a bark of laughter echoes around us.

“You’re getting on my nerves, and I need a smoke. Are you coming, Reaper?” He stalks toward the back exit without looking over his shoulder, and I’m almost bouncing on the balls of my feet and clapping my hands like a damn seal in excitement over him.

I need to get a grip. If I wasn’t crazy about Ryker, Gray, and Emmett already, I’d think there was something seriously wrong with me. But because of them, I can decipher the feelings and emotions ricocheting around in my head.

Fuck, I love these guys.

Winking at the others, I skip after him. “Obviously,” I finally reply, and when he reaches the door, he turns to glance over his shoulder.

“Since you’re all here, you can come too.” He nods to follow him, but Ryker waves him off.

“I’m good.”

“It’snota request. We know shit,” he replies before stepping outside and leaving everyone behind. The fucker knows we’ll follow him. It’s a good thing he’s hot.

“Fine,” Emmett grumbles, sweeping me up off the floor and carrying me just as Axel had been. I snuggle into his chest, fully aware that I smell like Axel right now, but he doesn’t complain. The cool air outside brushes over my skin, sending a chill down my spine. I warm a little when he takes us into the garage, but I don’t make any attempt to leave Emmett’s arms.

“Are you going to tell them or am I?” Axel asks, lighting up a cigarette and leaning against a large tool box, and I smirk at him. That’s a silly question. That’s exactly what I wanted to do the second we found it. A smirk grows across his face as he wags his finger at me. “Remember before when I said you needed a clearer head and all that shit. How does it feel right now?”

My eyes narrow. I forgot about that, and that’s entirely his fault, just as he intended. Pursing my lips, I intensify my glare but it falls flat. “You’re pushing it, Mister,” I grumble.
