The guys’ gazes start to narrow, clearly not appreciating my tone with her. “I believe we had the same father.” Her words rock my core, freezing me in place as I play them on repeat. Footsteps sound from behind me, and I glance over my shoulder to see Ryker, Gray, and Emmett slowly making their way toward us.

I wet my bottom lip as I turn back around, trying to figure out what the fuck I say back to that, but my mind catches on a single word she said.

“Had?”

“Yeah. He’s dead.” She shrugs as if she’s not sad about it, and I huff at the irony between us. “I killed him. If anything, I did you a favor. But sorry about that, I guess,” she rattles out, placing her hands on her hips as my brothers come to a stop beside Scarlett and I.

“You… killed our father?” I repeat, tasting the weight of the words on my tongue and she nods.

“Yeah. For real, he was an asshole though, I swear.”

I purse my lips, glancing at Scarlett who nods for me to reply.

Fuck.

“So… you're saying you're my sister?”

“Right,” she agrees, and it feels awkward as fuck.

Am I supposed to feel something for her immediately? Am I supposed to confirm this in case she’s talking bullshit? Hell, I don’t fucking know.

“I killed my mom,” I blurt, watching her eyes widen for a beat. “She was a cunt. Maybe they’re together now, getting their punishments in hell.”

“Is this some weird kind of bonding session or something?” Gray murmurs from behind me, and one of the guys with Wren bites back a laugh.

“I don’t fucking know, but they sound as fucked as each other,” Emmett replies like we can’t fucking hear him.

Fucker.

“They’re so alike a DNA test isn’t even required. I’m telling you, we don’t need to call Maury about this,” Gray whispers.

Glaring over my shoulder at him, I sigh, before looking back at the woman who is supposed to be my sister. “Why are you here?”

She clears her throat, bracing a hand on the shoulder of the guy closest to her, like she needs to gain strength from him. “I’ve known about you for almost a year, but I was too scared to come find you.”

“Why now?” I push, intrigued.

“I was wondering if I was related to a single soul that was worth half an ounce of the blood I’ve been surrounded by since I was born. I wondered if there were good people out there with the same blood as me, or if I was the best of a bad bunch,” she rambles, and the guy beside her strokes her leg calmingly.

“He’s good people,” Scarlett announces with a nod, and Wren smiles, her shoulders relaxing as if she needed someone to say that.

“That’s good to hear,” she mutters. “Well, I’m staying in town for a few days. If you decide you’d like to chat, here’s my number.” She extends a small piece of paper in my direction, and I slowly take it from her, nodding as she offers one final smile and turns to leave, guys in tow.

I stand frozen in place until they’re through the gates and off the property. “How do you feel?” Scarlett asks, concern flickering in her eyes and I shrug.

I lean in close, whispering in her ear, and her cheeks grow pinker with every word I say.

“I meant about your sister.”

I roll my eyes. “She’s in town for a few days. I’m not handling that shit right now when I’ve fucking missed you, Reaper.” I cock a brow at her, and she shakes her head at me.

“I’ve only been gone for a few hours.” She cocks a brow at me like I’m being ridiculous, but I don’t give a shit.

“So, are you in or not?”

“Fuck yeah, I’m in.”
