He shakes his head. “Yeah, well, we skipped right past go.” He tilts his head on the side. “Do you want to order some takeout and have dinner here tonight?”

I glance at my watch. “Sure, I’d love to.”

He gives me that sexy smile of his.

Oh, I know what else he has planned with that look.

“Then you gonna seduce me again?” he muses.

“Hey, you seduced me the second you banged on that glass!”

He laughs. “I was trying to get your attention.”

“Oh, you got it.”

“Well, it worked then.” He winks, and I can’t help but smile.

We put our empty glasses down on the countertop. “You gonna give me the tour?” I muse.

“I probably should, but that might take all night.” He laughs.

Yeah, it is kind of impressive in here.

“I’m sure there’s only one way to your bedroom.”

He presses his lips together, trying to contain his smile. “I better not venture there.”

“Oh, really? Why’s that?”

He laughs again, “Once I get you in my king-sized bed, Emmerson, I may never let you leave.”

“I think I kinda like this dominating side to you.”

“That’s good to know for future reference.”

He pulls me into his arms, and we stand in the middle of his dining room with the downlights turned low. “I’m happy with the couch for now?” He tilts his head to the side. “I mean, I don’t wanna be that cliche… here’s my bedroom.”

“The couch is fine.” I laugh.

The open-plan lounge adjoins, so we don’t have to venture too far. When we get there, he glances down at the couch and shakes his head.

“Hmm, on second thought…”

I don’t have a second to think before he picks me up and literally hauls me over his shoulder. I squeal as I wiggle around in his grasp. “Taylor!!” I scream.

He slaps me on the backside. “You said you liked the dominating side to me…” He leaves the sentence hanging, I guess for me to fill in the gaps.

“So, you’re just gonna just haul me off like a caveman?”

He laughs and strides down the hallway like I weigh absolutely nothing. “Somethin’ like that,Red.”

I’m secretly loving it… I can’t deny a single thing when I’m with him.

He’s magnetic. He’s everything.

I just don’t want to lose him again.
