“No,” she said. “I always wanted to, so thank you for indulging me in this.”

She moved over and gave him a big kiss. He pulled her closer to have the kiss linger some more. It was about all they’d done in the two weeks they’d been dating.

They’d gone out to eat when his family left on Monday and then again on Thursday night.

He wanted to do something with her yesterday, but she had to work until four and then Heather was home.

He was trying not to get annoyed over this and realized it had nothing to do with being with him and everything to do with the fact she was afraid they weren’t going to last long and she didn’t want to tell people about him until she was sure.

He didn’t know how to make her sure.

After his father’s visit, and talking with his sisters, he decided he was going to just try to embrace life as much as he could. He’d even told Daisy that and she was all for it. She said she’d loosen him up and he figured what the hell.

He really liked her and was going to put as much into it as he could.

“You’re welcome,” he said. “I told you to spice my life up. Guess I didn’t know that four legged animals were going to be part of it.”

“Well now,” she said. “You didn’t say spice it up. You said have fun. Those are two different things.”

It was the look in her eyes that said she had something up her sleeve and he wasn’t sure he knew what it was and might be a little scared to find out.

“Welcome to the farm,” a ranch hand said, walking closer to them. “We just need you to fill out some paperwork for liability purposes.”

“Lovely,” Theo said, causing Daisy to giggle some more.

She’d moved close to the guy, got a pen and bent over the table to fill out what she was given.

He was having a hard time taking his eyes off her ass in her fitted jeans. He turned around and noticed another man doing the same thing. He scowled at him and put his arm around her waist and grabbed a pen to fill his out too.

“I felt your eyes on me,” she whispered to him.

“Not only mine,” he said.

“I figured,” she said. “But you’re with me and all I care about.”

It made him feel good to hear those things. She hadn’t once complained about his job either. Not that they’d been together long enough for her to do it.

She had to work last weekend anyway so he didn’t feel all that bad that his family was visiting and he’d been called in twice too.

That he was able to have dinner with her on Monday was good enough for him.

His hand moved from her waist down the side of her hip teasing her a bit. He just had to touch her a little.

He wasn’t pressuring her by any means, but it felt as if she was trying to work him up to make the next move.

He wasn’t very good at making moves and was shocked he’d gotten as far as he had with Daisy.

She thought he was out of her league, but the truth was, in his eyes, she was out of his.

When they were out together, there were always people checking her out. She wasn’t loud or bold or anything like that. It’s what he’d said before. She had this confidence about her in a group that he found sexy.

Seemed many others did too.

She was like the diamond in the rough that was shining without any polish at all.

When their paperwork was done, they were brought to the horses they’d be riding. “Will that horse hold my weight?” he asked.

“Yes,” the ranch hand said. “But that’s for your lady. I’ve got another for you and I’ll go grab him now. Once everyone has filled out the paperwork, we’ll take off in a group. There are trails we’ll take into valleys and up the mountains, then down to some beaches and back.”
