“I can take it. Harder. Please. I won’t break.”

I laugh but only out of joy.

If my queen wants it harder, faster, deeper, she will get harder, faster, deeper.

I pump into her with everything I can muster. The smile that breaks across her serene face will forever be etched in my memory. Finding the rhythm that makes her smile…makes her nails dig into my shoulders. I slam into her again and again.

When I’m close, I reach down between our damp bodies and touch my thumb to her clit. The little button feels demanding and needy once again. Serenity is perfection to me.

I bury my face against her throat and thrust into her as I come, my release slamming into me like a freight train. Everything goes dim and surreal, but Serenity tethers me to reality, with her arms tight around me even as she squeaks out her own release.

“I’m not ready to pull out yet,” I say selfishly.

“Then don’t,” she sighs, catching her breath and clinging to me. I’ve decided I love the way she demands that I stay close, and no amount of clinging will be too much for me.

So I stay, just like this, stealing one more long moment of feeling connected to her in every way possible.

Everything is different now. I’m never leaving her side.

I wake up to a pounding on the door, and instinctively, my arms reach for Serenity.

The fact that she’s not there causes a worse panic in my chest than the pounding and shouting at the hotel room door.

“Mister O’Connor! Are you checking out any time soon?”

I glance at the hotel alarm clock. Eleven a.m., well past check-out time.

I don’t care. I need to find my girl.

Sitting up slowly, I finally wake up fully and hear the sound of water running in the bathroom.

I throw open the door. “Serenity?”

“Good morning? Are you joining me?” She pokes her head out of the shower stall and does a sexy little shimmy that’s one part charmingly goofy and two parts tempting as hell.

Forgetting what’s waiting for me in the hallway, I go to her and give her a kiss. Water splashes on me and on the floor. But I don’t care.

“Did you just wake up? You look a little dazed,” she says, pulling me in. I love this woman to bits.

“Yeah,” I say. “I’m still a little out of it.”

More knocking and shouting. Her eyes widen. “What’s that? The hockey players?”

The who? Oh. “No. I’m embarrassed to say I let us sleep past check-out time.”

She lifts one shoulder. “Oh. No problem. Just ask for an extension. They’ll charge it to your card.”

Right. My card. For my very anemic bank account.

Serenity sees me rubbing my neck and thinking, and immediately apologizes.

“Oh my gosh, I’m such a clueless jerk. Hold on.”

“Wait, babe, don’t get out of the shower.”
