Her lips part, and her eyes widen. “She wants what’s hers. She wants what belongs to her.”

Oh my god, we’re going to have so much fun. Every fucking night.

“Should we punish her for being so selfish? Hmm?”

Serenity lolls her head back and moans. “Yes, Cian!”

I hold her tight, my hands on her hips, guiding her though she needs no guidance. We fit together.

We were made for this.

I give her what she wants. And I take what’s mine.

It feels incredible to know that. It feels even better to say it. “Take it. Take everything that belongs to you, my girl.”

I’m so close.

Serenity rocks into me with such sweetness, light, and passion that my heart can hardly contain everything I feel for her.

“I love you,” I tell her again, lifting her up and pulling her back down again. Her sweetness grips me. Milks me.

My lover’s parted lips, swollen from our kissing, say the words I’ll never tire of hearing.

“I love you too, Cian.”

She has me. She’ll always have me. All she has to do is ask.

Epilogue

Serenity

One year later

I can’t wait to show Cian my surprise.

My third feature film of the year wrapped today, and I’m ready to spend a couple of months alone with my favorite human and favorite canine, followed by a homey Christmas abroad.

“Babe?” I call out for Cian as soon as I kick off my sneakers in the entryway.

I dump my keys and bag in the basket, my feet finally happy to be bare on my cool tile.

The view to the back pool overlooking the ocean is straight through the great room, but I don’t see my guy anywhere.

That’s weird.

The kitchen is a mess of flour, sugar, pink icing, and butter. What the hell is happening?

I leave the kitchen and take the exterior stairs to the lower-level deck. The sea spray hitting the rocks just below where I stand is refreshing but not nearly as lovely as a kiss from my husband.

He’s not in the bedroom, bathroom, or my favorite room, the dressing room.

Finally, I go outside once again and whistle. “Duchess?”

The little yip is a giveaway.

I find Duchess and Cian out on the side deck. I should have guessed. It’s small and snug, but Cian likes the view there better. I let him furnish it however he wanted, so he often spends time out here catching up on his reading.

But he’s not reading.
