“You’re mine, Goddess.” He dropped his palm to my not-so-perfect stomach. “Every part of you. Get it now?”

I gasped and nodded.

“No, say it.”

“I’m yours.” I whispered before snaking my arms around his shoulders to hug him.

The tears tumbled down my cheeks and I didn’t want him to see them.

“Why the tears, my beauty?”

“I’m not sure.” I sniffled, pulling closer. “I’m not sure.”

WASP

Dillon cut his trip to China short to return for some fancy dinner party he usually attended with his father. While he wanted Eli to attend, Eli had just gotten a new job and couldn’t get the time off.

Carter spared no expense for me.

It wasn’t something I ever wanted him to do—but I’d been so busy getting my new business online, that I barely had time to breathe much less shop.

But no matter how busy I’d been, I wanted to be there for Carter the same way he’d been there for me over the past few weeks.

I was finally settled at his place—the building was taking entirely too long to repair the door to my place, and he wasn’t impressed with that. It was either move in with him or he’d commit a few felonies.

I chuckled at that thought as I sat in the backseat of the chauffeured car, clutching one of Dillon’s hands in my right and one of Carter’s in my left.

“You’re shaking.” Dillon used his free hand to rub the back of mine. “You don’t have to be nervous. Calm down.”

But that was easier said than done.

He may not know what this meant—this night. But I did.

And while Carter hadn’t said anything, I knew tonight was the night I had my outing—the night where he introduced me officially to the rest of the world as his.

Before Carter could speak, our car rolled to a stop and our driver stepped out to open our door. Dillon released my hand to get out and after Carter stepped out, he reached in for my hand.

Taking it, I ducked a little to clear the car’s roof, then allowed him to gently pull me from the leather seating to stand by his side.

His warm palm immediately found the peek-a-boo opening at the back of the body conscious dress he’d gotten me, and I trembled.

He massaged tenderly as Dillon walked around the vehicle so I could loop my arm with his. After he smiled at me, Carter paused to speak with our driver, but Dillon began escorting me up the flowing staircase, the clicks of cameras behind us.

“Deep breaths, Wasp.” Dillon whispered. “You’ve got this.”

Nodding, I pinched my dress over my left thigh to ease the hem up and out of the way of my stilettos, so I didn’t trip.

It dawned on me then—everything adorning my body cost more than my rent at my apartment for the entire year.

The necklace alone was ten grand—when I protested, Carter merely kissed me.

“And you’re worth every penny.” He told me.

“But—”

“I won’t do this every day.” He promised. “But sometimes, I want to pamper you. Besides, when we get home, I want you to strip and wear nothing but those diamonds.”
