“Shana!” I gasp, feigning shock which makes her laugh. After all, what better way to recharge than indulging in some naughty, no-strings-attached fun? “You’re terrible.” I wink.

“Hey,” she grins back, shrugging her shoulders. “A sister can dream, right?”

“Sure,” I reply, rolling my eyes playfully. “But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. First, I need to escape this city.”

“Amen to that,” Shana nods, giving me another tight hug. “Now go pack your bags, sis. Your sexy mountain adventure awaits.”

“Alright, alright,” I chuckle, shaking my head as I head to my room to gather my things. I can’t help but picture the tranquil setting of the mountain cabin. And who knows? Maybe Shana is right, and I’ll find more than just peace and quiet in those lush, secluded woods.

My car speeds across the Bay Bridge, leaving behind the bustling city and all its stress-inducing chaos. The wind whips through my hair as the urban landscape gradually gives way to rolling hills and lush forests.

I can already feel my body start to relax as I take in the stunning scenery around me. My anticipation grows with each passing mile, images of the gorgeous mountain cabin waiting for me in Lake Tahoe dancing in my mind.

“God, I need this,” I murmur to myself, gripping the steering wheel tighter as my excitement builds.

As I finally enter the wooded outskirts of Lake Tahoe, my breath catches in my throat at the sheer beauty that surrounds me. The sunlight filters down through the canopy of trees, casting shadows on the forest floor. Birds sing their sweet melodies, serenading me as I drive deeper into the wilderness.

“Hello, paradise,” I murmur to myself.

At long last, I pull up to the cabin, eyes widening in awe as I take in its full effect. It’s even more beautiful than I remember, with its rustic, elegant architecture nestled among the towering pines.

“Wow,” I breathe out, stepping out of the car and drinking in the sights, sounds, and scents of nature. “This is heaven.”

I walk to the front door, the soft crunch of pine needles beneath my feet.

“Alright, Halima,” I whisper to myself, fumbling with the keys as I unlock the door. “Time to let loose.”

With a deep breath, I push open the door and step inside the cabin.

The scent of pine and cedar fills my nostrils as I take in the high ceilings, exposed wooden beams, and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding forest.

“So good to be back,” I murmur, running a hand over the smooth surface of the rustic dining table.

I continue my exploration of the cabin. The well-stocked kitchen calls to me with its gleaming appliances and polished granite countertops – the perfect spot to whip up healthy meals.

I make my way upstairs, where I check the small library filled with leather-bound books and plush armchairs, just inviting me to curl up with one of my favorite novels. There’s even a cozy fireplace, perfect for setting the mood on a chilly mountain evening.

“God, this place has everything I need to let relax,” I whisper to myself.

Finally, I reach the master bedroom. As I push open the door, my breath catches at the sight before me. Lying sprawled naked from the waist up on the king-sized bed, with the sheets tangled around his hips, fast asleep, is a giant. The wide expanse of his tanned skin, tousled dark hair and slightly parted luscious pink lips make me tingle all over. He lets out a soft snore. My eyes can’t help but trail down his muscular body. All beefy arms, impressive pecs, defined stomach, and the outline of thick thighs under the sheet.

“Oh My God!” I exclaim, covering my eyes with one hand and backing out of the room, mortified.

The man’s eyes snap open at the sound of my voice, his face a mix of surprise and confusion. “¿Quién está ahí?” he demands in a sleep-laden, low, gravelly voice, that sends shivers down my spine, sitting up in bed and holding the sheet to his body.

“Uh, hi,” I stammer, peeking between my fingers. “I’m Halima. Shana’s sister?”

“Shana… Fuck… Lucas is letting me use the cabin. I’m Gael, his teammate,” he explains, his cheeks flushing with annoyance. “Did you know someone else would be here?” he asks in an accusatory tone.

“Well, no. Obviously. I wouldn’t have barged into the room like that,” I defend myself, lowering my hand to pin him with a hard glare. “Look, I’ll just…go find another bedroom, okay? Pretend this never happened?”

“Sure,” Gael growls, sounding more irritated than ever.

I turn on my heel, stomping down the hallway.

As I settle into one of the guest rooms, my heart still pounding from the annoyance of our unexpected encounter. And if I wanna be perfectly honest, how hot Gael is…
