“You do,” Greyson said, taking a step closer to me. “You’ve always known, just like I have.”

I could feel his breath on my neck, sending shivers down my spine. I wanted to run, to hide, but I couldn’t move. My body was frozen, trapped between the past and the present, between my fear and my desire.

“I can’t,” I said, but Greyson didn’t seem to care. He pushed me up against the wall, his hands pinning mine above my head.

“You can,” he said, his voice low and commanding. “You want to, just like I do. We both know it.”

I closed my eyes, trying to block out the memories that threatened to overwhelm me. But Greyson’s touch was like a flame, igniting a fire within me that I couldn’t ignore.

I began shaking. My world was tilting on its axis. Greyson’s lips were on mine, his tongue demanding entrance. I wanted to resist, but it was like trying to hold back a tidal wave. I opened my mouth, allowing him to deepen the kiss. His hands were everywhere, exploring my body with a hunger that matched my own. I moaned into his mouth, feeling my body come alive with pleasure.

Greyson finally pulled away, his eyes searching mine for an answer. I was still shaking, my heart pounding so hard I thought it might burst from my chest. He must have sensed the fear and uncertainty that threatened to consume me because he smiled and stepped back.

“I know you’re not ready,” he said, his voice low and gentle. “But you do want this, Parker. There’s no use denying it.”

Panic bubbled up inside me, my father’s mocking voice echoing in my head. You liked that, didn’t you? You little faggot. I shook my head, trying to clear the hateful words that kept running through it.

Fuck. I shoved hard against his chest, pushing him back.

Chapter 33

Greyson

I stared at him. I could see the emotions swirling in his eyes, hurt, confusion, anger. He felt the undeniable chemistry we had, and he rejected it.

“You’re a coward, Parker,” I rasped.

Hatred burned in his eyes. “Fuck you, Greyson.”

He automatically stepped back when I leaned toward him, but his back was up against the wall now. He had nowhere to go. I crowded up against him, letting my anger and disappointment take over. “You’ll never find happiness hiding from life.”

“Who’s hiding from life?” he lashed out at me. “I get up on stage night after night and rip my heart open for my fans. But you? You’re acting. Pretending to be someone you’re not. Colton Grimaldi, badass playboy when you’re nothing but a weak piece of shit pussy.”

Anger blinded me to all else. My forearm pressed against his chest, holding him against the wall in a threatening manner. “You don’t know a goddamn thing about me. So fuck yourself, asshole.”

Ghost wrenched at my arm, but my anger gave me a whole other level of strength.

“I know that I hate you.” He spit the words at me like venom.

The air left my lungs as if a boot had landed in the pit of my stomach. My throat closed up tight, attempting to choke back the sudden hurt that was threatening to spill out of me. “Why?” It was a simple question. That one word hung between us like a palpable force.

His lips parted, but he didn’t speak. One moment, my arm pressed against his chest, the energy I felt surging through me almost enough to tear him apart piece by piece, and the next, he was staring at my lips. I felt the anger and tension between us shift abruptly, a palpable energy radiating off of him and onto me. His eyes still burned with that same intensity, but something else had been sparked in their depths — an almost animalistic hunger that sent my heart racing. The anger in my veins shifted quickly into a different kind of heat.

The next thing I knew, Ghost had grabbed the back of my head and pressed his lips against mine. It was a fierce kiss — full of anger and hurt and so much passion that I could barely keep up. His tongue swept over my bottom lip, demanding entry into my mouth, and without thinking, I opened for him.

My hands instinctively gripped his shoulders, and I kissed him back with as much intensity as he was giving me. My legs felt weak, my heart raced, and a heat coursed through my veins that I’d never felt before. I was completely consumed by the moment, pushing everything else away and focusing on the sensation of Ghost’s lips against mine. His hands moved from my head to my back, pulling me closer to him until I was flush against his body.

The kiss was a fight for dominance between us. Our lips moved in an almost desperate frenzy, neither of us wanting to come up for air. We were locked in this moment, and I felt my body trembling with desire as he squeezed me tighter against him. My eyes closed and my breathing became shallow as I felt Ghost’s arousal pressing against me. My heart raced with the thrill of pure energy surging through my veins. A fire ignited inside me and I felt unstoppable in that very moment. It was a sensation I ached to keep alive and hold on to forever.

Time seemed to stand still as we kissed with a hunger that neither of us could deny. I wanted to take it further — to explore every inch of his body — but mostly, I just wanted to hold him close and revel in our connection.

He roughly grabbed my throbbing dick through my pants. I groaned as white-hot desire shot through me. Lust was quickly overtaking me; I could barely think.

I pulled my head back, breaking our searing kiss, and dragged in a deep breath. “What are you doing?”

The air pulsed with an almost tangible electricity. His eyes glowed, and his cheeks had taken on a slight flush. A seductive smirk curved his lips, but his voice still simmered with anger. “You want to fuck me? Then just fuck me.”

“What are you talking about?” My eyes frantically scanned his face for a sign of his intention, but I only found confusion. He was offering something I desperately wanted, but I knew he didn’t want the same thing.
