“It’s over now. We’re here,” Roqs said behind me. My hands were trapped between mine and Coone’s.

A dream.

“I can’t sleep,” I sobbed at Coone’s chest. How could I when all I could see was his face hardened, then turned to ash. Sometimes it was Ist who turned to ash even though he died differently. “I k-killed.”

“Go ahead. Tell me about it, little one,” Roqs said as he circled an arm on my waist.

“Roqs,” Coone protested.

“No. It might help.”

My sobs turned to hiccups.

“She’s leaking water, Coone. You grew up on a planet that is 70% water. Here, it’s the opposite.” Roqs moved me closer to his body.

Coone sighed. “Fine.”

They waited for me to calm down, which I greatly appreciated. Other men might have left me by now. I’m glad they were here with me.

When I was more calmer, I told them about what happened. How Lov tried to assault me but the crystal the old man gave me worked against him. I felt their shock. We all thought I was a dud. That I can’t make their crystals work. Now I don’t want to ever hold a crystal again. What if I accidentally killed one of them without me knowing it? I told them that one of the manasties I identified, who I called Scarface in my head, helped me escaped and took me to the man they called Xy. That I owed my life to him twice. In between my sobs, I told them about my fears, my nightmare just now.

In the end, Roqs was right. When I told everything I wanted to tell them, I fell asleep in between them. No dreams. Not peaceful. Everything was blank.

CHAPTER13

Travel to Purple Tribe’s Central

Brynn

It was still dark when we went down to grab some supplies at the building’s restaurant. I was shocked when I saw a manasty with boobs. Like, super melon big boobs. No way was he or she of another race because she had small purple fur that looked more indigo than the twins’ purple. When he or she gave me my package, I was too dumbstruck to accept the package she was handing out. She, definitely a she the way she had softer features. Like Nialla.

I heard Coone growled at the same time Roqs sighed. The latter took the package from the female manasty. She smirked at me and winked. Winked.

Unbidden, I stared blatantly at her crotch. Her cock tented against her pants. How is this possible?

Coone growled loudly, maybe roared near me and grabbed my arms. I blushed. Shit. They realized I was staring. The female manasty, in a soft feminine voice, said, “Why don’t you come visit me next time, sweetie. Without your two bodyguards.”

My face was probably red as a tomato. Coone steered me quickly towards the exit, half-carrying me to reach the door in record time. Roqs was softly chuckling beside me. “Brynn.” I could see Coone was having a hard time forming words. He was livid.

“I need coffee,” I grumbled to them. This was way too early. It felt like I only slept for ten minutes. What time was it now? Four? Three in the morning?

“Little one,” Roqs tried to say in a somber voice but his shoulders shook slightly. “Have you remembered the last time I told you about staring at one’s tail?”

“Who?” Coone was in Roqs face in an instant. “Who was it?”

“No one in particular,” Roqs answered, dismissing him. To me, he said, “It is the same as when you look at crotch level. What you did back there, it was like you just asked him to have sex with you.”

Somebody, kill me now.

“Nobody is killing you!” Coone was suddenly shouting at my face.

“Did I say that out loud?” I face palmed myself.

“What do you think?” Coone roared. He was actually panting now. What the hell was happening to him?

“Coone -” I reached out to him but he moved away from me and paced further away from me. He hit some gravel hard that some went Xy’s way.

“Is he okay?” I asked Roqs who stood beside me. “Did he actually sleep?”
