"So to make my job easier, I need to make sure we are always together?" The humor in her voice made her statement sound like a joke, and we could pretend it was, but I had finally figured out that as long as we were together, everything would be easier.

"You're going to keep working with the Inferno, then?"

"Yeah, and Sophia is ready for me to get back too. Tina is already knee deep with a new rugby deal and Sophia is taking over the Formula One event. They need me to finish what I started and if I'm being honest, promoting a soccer camp for kids is what I need right now."

"Something easy?"

"Something positive. Wholesome. We're all so twisted that we can't see the good anymore. I need all the good moments I can get."

"I promise," I squeezed her, "from here on out, I will be the good for you. Rough days, shitty clientele, crazy brothers, whatever is making your day bad, I'll be the good."

"Want to help me with the project then? Be my assistant?"

"I'd love to assist. Just let me know what to do, boss."

"God, I love you so much," she looked into my eyes, then kissed me gently.

We made love again, only it was slow and gentle. Her fingers skimmed over my back, and I pushed between her legs, the sheet falling from my backside. My lips didn't stray from hers, choosing to taste her mouth and her moans as I built her up. Then when I was sure she was ready, I ground my pelvis down, rubbing her clit and making her shatter.

"I love you too, Coconut," I finally replied, my head against hers, breathing deep from the energy I had just exerted. "Always."

Epilogue

It was down to the last game of the season, and I was curled into a ball in the corner of the suite I was in with our friends and family. The previous season had been filled with so much drama for Rhys, Cruz, and Tripp that they considered that night's game their time for redemption.

If only they would score seventy-four points and be done. Instead, Atlanta FC kept it close, not allowing Rhys or Tripp into the goal all night. Thank God Cruz meant it when he said he would keep them scoreless.

"Honey?" My mom called from her seat. "Don't you want a better view?"

"No thanks," I mumbled, keeping my hands over my eyes just in case I accidentally saw something from the floor.

"Tripp is doing good. I think. It seems like it, anyway."

"He's kicking ass," Erin confirmed from her seat behind my mom, then turned to face me. "You're gonna miss his big moment."

"Fine," I snapped at her as she laughed and pulled me up next to her.

She dragged me to the front row, where she had also lined up Ash and Lily. It was as if the guys had put her in charge of making sure we watched the whole game. She took her duties very seriously.

Ash, Lily, and I sat side by side, looking like the three monkey emojis on my phone. Ash covered her eyes, Lily covered her ears, and I covered my mouth. Surely, we all had a goal, but Ash was the only one that made sense because I couldn't watch.

"Rhys has it!" Marianna, Cruz's mom, shouted from the other side of the suite. Everyone behind us stood up, but we three girls stayed put. "He passed it to Tripp."

My eyes followed Tripp as he got down into the corner near the other team's goal. He faked left and then right before kicking it back to Rhys. The crowd roared when Rhys had the ball because they always knew he was the one most likely to score, but when he did a little twist and kicked it backward, Tripp was set up for the assist and kicked the ball past the Atlanta goalie.

We stood up, hugging each other and jumping around, screaming from the perfect twisted assist that Tripp and Rhys had worked on all year. Cruz was running in from the goal to celebrate with his team, but the game wasn't over, and after only a quick hug, he had to get back and defend for another few minutes.

Then the whistle blew, and it was official. The Miami Inferno were back in the playoffs and tabbed as the best team in the league. All their off-field struggles were long gone, and in their place were guys who learned to balance the game and their lives, finding a happy medium.

My mom came up to hug me, then held my face, looking at me with a proud expression. "You did it!"

"You mean Tripp did it?"

"I mean you did. Don't discount how much your marketing and PR work has done for this club."
