This time Jace’s hold was iron tight, giving me the feeling that his patience had run out. My arms were trapped at my sides, and when I attempted to go limp to slip down, he only held my weight up as he strode forward, not stopping until we were far from The Pit. The clouds had cleared somewhat, and Jace released me just long enough to spin me around until my back hit a tree.

“You’ve been a bad girl,” he murmured gruffly. “Trying to run off on us, Rynn?”

I stared at him for a second before sucking in a long breath to scream the next word.

“Kian—”

Jace’s hand slapped back over my mouth, his lips twitching up in amusement as he pressed me against the tree. His earlier statement proved that he didn’t want Kian here, and I could play that to my advantage. Even if it would be harder to get away from both of them, if I could get them to fight with one another, it could give me a chance to slip away.

“I really want to drop to my knees and taste you. But I can’t do that if you refuse to be quiet.” His other hand grazed my hip for a moment. “I guess I just need to make sure you can’t rush off again. I saw the belt you used on Kian. How about I use mine on you? You can’t run around these woods with your hands behind your back, can you?”

My heart leaped in my throat when I heard his belt buckle as he started taking it off with one hand while keeping the other one on my mouth. If he tied my hands, I was fucked. There was no way I’d get away tonight. And after this escape attempt, they wouldn’t let me out of their sight again.

I lashed my arm up, grabbing his wrist and twisting it away from my mouth while pushing him away. He reached for me, but I ducked, getting a whole four steps before I slammed right into another warm body. My head snapped up, my eyes meeting Kian’s as he grabbed my arms.

“No need for a belt when I can hold her,” Kian said, his gaze going behind me to Jace. “Did you even plan on telling me you found her?”

“Nope.” Jace suddenly came up behind me, his chest brushing my back, reminding me of the first day I was stuck between them in the storage closet. “I got to her first. She’s mine tonight.”

“I don’t think so,” Kian countered.

His hold on me tightened when I attempted to slink to the side. Jace pressed up against my back even more before his arm went around me, his hands going under my leggings. Kian didn’t miss that move, and he glanced down as a scowl grew on his face.

My mind was racing, trying to come up with anything to drive a wedge even deeper between them. But before I could, Jace’s fingers brushed my clit. I sucked in a breath, my pussy clenching with fucking need.

“Want me to get you off, Rynn?” Jace asked smugly, sliding a finger inside me. “It sure feels like you do. We can have some fun before we take you back to your dorm.”

“I’m not going back,” I snapped, my voice not coming out as harsh as I intended.

Kian chuckled. “You are. This was a good try, though.”

“Kiss me, Kian,” I demanded. “Right now. While Jace’s fingers are inside me.”

They both froze, just like I’d been expecting. Jace kept his hand where it was, but he didn’t move a muscle. Kian’s eyes cut to me.

“Trying to pit us against each other?” he asked, arching an eyebrow. “You think we’d fight each other instead of focusing on you?”

I bit my tongue. I hadn’t thought he’d call me out so fast. Jace breathed out a laugh, my intentions clearly dawning on him. I went still when he rested his chin on my shoulder as his thumb brushed my clit.

“No need to fight with him when I can focus on you,” Jace said in a low voice. “Kian can fuck off, and we’ll see him back in the room.”

Kian caught me by surprise when he grasped my jaw and tilted my face up. He didn’t waste a moment before he captured my lips with his. Jace cursed under his breath when I opened my mouth, letting my tongue tangle with Kian’s. He let me set the pace, taking whatever I wanted from the kiss. Until Jace yanked me back. Kian let out a frustrated growl, stepping with me to erase the distance Jace had created.

“What’s wrong, Jace?” Kian taunted. “Worried she wants me more than she wants you?”

“I’m pretty sure I’ve made it clear I don’t want either of you,” I muttered.

“Now, we know that’s not true,” Jace shot back. “You haven’t told me to move my hand. You love when we touch you, Rynn. Even if you won’t admit it.”

“And just imagine how fast we could get her off if we both touched her.”

Kian’s words had shock coursing through my veins. I stared at him, but his attention was behind me, where Jace was. It took everything not to squirm as Jace kept his fingers still inside me. I needed him to move. My body was begging for some kind of relief, and I was getting closer to voicing it.

“She wants us to split up,” Kian continued, finally sliding his gaze to me. “Because she has a better chance of getting away. Isn’t that right?”

I gave him a wicked grin. “Maybe this was my plan all along. To get you out here in the woods. How do you know I don’t have people out here waiting to help me?”

“I call bullshit on that,” Jace retorted. “We’ve been out here too long.”
