“Prof?”

Jax blinked. “Sorry. Got a little bit sidetracked.”

“Careto share?”

“Not worth it. I prefer to talk about what time you’ll be arriving on Friday.”

“Maybe around five. I have to teach two sessions first.”

“I can’t wait to have you in my arms again, to have all that delicious flesh at my disposal.”

“All this, huh?” Noah slid his free hand down his chest to the waistband of his boxers. “You sure know how to seduce a guy,” hemurmured.

“Something you need, babe?” Jax watched Noah’s cock jerk at the word, and hechuckled.

“Anything you want to give me,” Noah answered at once. “Maybe we can help each other, Prof.”

He slid his fingers under the band and teased the head of his cock which Jax could see peeking over the edge. His own shaft lengthened, and he reached for it, ready to play any game Noah wanted.

By Friday, Jax had learned two things. First, Ted was right … college students were the nosiest people on the planet, and they couldn’t mind their own business any more than they could pass his preliminary quiz, which was rigged. Rumors had already begun to spread about his marital status, his sexual orientation, and his shoe size. He refused to think about why that last question was so important to them.

The second thing he’d learned was that he wasn’t nearly as grown up and patient as he’d thought. He’d been looking out for Noah for the last half hour, and he was at the front door by the time the key sounded in the lock. The second the door closed behind him, Jax had him up against it ravishing him with kisses. He basked in the overwhelming joy of Noah’s hands roaming his body, of his cock pressed against Jax’s, of their mingled breathing as they kissed and kissed. And when they were forced to release each other so they could catch their breath, Jax found he couldn’t stop the slight trembling that had taken residence inhis limbs.

“Go up and wait for me. I need to shut off the stove or dinner will beruined.”

Not that he cared really, but he’d rather not start a fire in his new home because he was horny. Afterward, when the urgency of their need had been satiated for the moment, they stood at the kitchen island in their boxers eating the reheated meal and smiling quietly into each other’s eyes.

“So good, Prof,” Noah said, humming as he took another bite of the shepherd’s pie.

“I know.”

The wink that Noah sent his way told Jax he knew Jax wasn’t talking about the food. It felt good to be so in sync. Jax knew then that he would do everything to protect what they had, which meant that he wouldn’t ask Noah if he was interested in doing the lecture. It wouldn’t be a good look for him to suggest the man he loved as a guest speaker in a place where he hadn’t been working a month. It would put them both in an awkward position, and he wasn’t prepared todo that.

So when Noah asked what he wanted to talk to him about, once they’d gone into the den to cuddle and watch mindless television, his answer had been easy.

“I was going to ask if you’d be interested in doing a guest lecture this semester, but I don’t think it’s any better of an idea than you coming to the retreat had been. It’s fine … Elise asked if I’d like to fill in the gap and it’s not a bad idea, so I think I will.”

Three weeks later, Jax drove down to say goodbye to Noah’s dad, and to visit with Jim and his family. When he got to the Santiago house, Alvaro’s suitcases were at the door, and the old man smiled widely when he openedit to Jax.

“Come in,Profesor. It is good to see you again.”

Inside, the house was pristine and felt curiously empty. Noah’s instruments and the beautiful leather loveseat that he had brought with him when he had run away after the accident, had already been delivered to Jax’s house. All that remained were his suitcases. Noah walked out just then, a suitcase ineach hand.

“Need any help?”Jax asked.

“My backpack and one more suitcase are inmy room.”

Jax went to get them while Noah spoke to his dad. Once the luggage was all packed into the bed of his truck, Noah said, “Well, it’s time to go,Papi.” He leaned in to hug his father and they kissed each other’s cheeks. “Are you sure you don’t need me for anything else?”

“I am sure, mijo. I always spend my last night with the boys, sleep in one of their houses, and that friend takes me to the train in the morning. It’s our goodbye-for-now ritual. I don’t want to change it. We’re old men, and rituals bring comfort to our hearts.”

Before Noah could speak again, a knock sounded, and Alvaro hurried to answer it. A tall, burly black man stood on the threshold with a bright smile onhis face.

“You ready, Alvaro?”

The old man smiled. “Yes. I’ll be right out.”

He picked up his suitcases, which the man promptly took from him before heading back out to the SUV he’d parked at the curb. Alvaro turned back to them.
