“Shh, cleaning.”

It only takes a few swirls of his tongue to have me on the edge again.

“Lucaaa,” I moan out.

I jump as the door slams shut, shaking the thin walls.

Luca’s face snaps up and he jumps off of me. “Fuck,” he mutters, shaking his head.

“ROSA!” Dante’s deep voice booms, making my heart rate accelerate.

Shit, I’m breathing so fast I’m going to pass out.

Luca places my top and shorts in my hands and drops a soft kiss to my forehead.

“Calm down,” he whispers.

I look up at him in horror. “You need to hide.” I frantically dress myself. Luca bundles his suit in his arms, quickly putting on his boxers.

Dante shouts my name again. “Two seconds, I’m just getting changed,” I call out.

“I’ll see you soon, okay?” Luca drops a quick kiss to my swollen lips and darts towards the small window opposite my bed.

I watch in shock. “Luca, what are you–”

He tosses his clothes out, and climbs over, dangling his feet out. I gasp as he falls out of sight. I rush towards the window, just after I hear the thud.

Oh my god.

My hands fly over my mouth. I can’t look. It’s the second floor. That fall would hurt. To my relief, when I look out, I find Luca picking up his clothes. “Fuck off.” He points to the men walking past, staring at him.

I look back at my crumpled sheets and smooth them out quickly.

“I’m coming in,” Dante yells angrily.

My door flings open just as I snatch a hoodie out of the wardrobe. I need to cover the red marks on my neck. I pull it on and turn to him.

He eyes me suspiciously. “What were you doing?”

“I had a nap, read a book, and I got a bit chilly, so I put on a hoodie. I was going to make a salad for lunch if you feel like joining me?” I smile sweetly at him.

He frowns, and I start to panic.

“Close the fucking window next time. I need to shower, then I’ll eat.” I follow his gaze to the dried blood coating his knuckles and swallow. The stark reminder of what he’s capable of.

He shuts the door, and I hold myself up against the wardrobe. That was too close.

A phone lights up on the nightstand, next to a little black box. What the hell is that?

I snatch the mysterious new cell up from the table.

A text from ‘L’ is on the screen.

L

Hide that box, it’s a little present for you. Remind me not to jump out of the window next time, my ankle is busted.

Intrigue getting the better of me, I open the lid, revealing a little black and gold vibrator. My cheeks instantly flush, and I snap the lid closed, tucking it safely away under my bed.
