I pushed Dante a couple of times half-heartedly until Dante turned around.

“Stop being so soft. Push man, push!” He yelled and I glared at him, shoving him harder and harder until the momentum was too much for me to keep up with.

I moved out of the way, standing next to Ariana as Dante swung his legs, going as high as the swing would go.

The bar at the top bent slightly with every swing and Dante cackled like a child.

“SeePrincesa? Nothing to worry about!” He shouted before he let himself slow down. When he came to a stop, Ariana clapped her hands.

“Okay. I will try.” She said and we waited for Dante to get out. After a minute of him struggling he looked at me.

“What’s wrong?” I asked, knowing exactly what was wrong. He stood, the seat stuck to him as he tried to heave himself up the chains. He muttered in Spanish under his breath.

“I think Tio is stuck,” Ariana whispered to me, loud enough for Dante to hear.

“I’m not stuck.” He said as he gripped the swing with both hands and tried to push it down his thighs.

I bit my lip as I watched Serena come over with Diego who was grinning ear to ear.

“You okay, Dante?” Serena asked and he let out a frustrated growl, pushing at the swing so hard that the chains went taut but it didn’t budge.

His frustration grew as I pulled out my phone to video him. He glared at me, pushing the seat until his face went red. He slipped on the bark, the chains catching him as he toppled over almost upside down, swinging back and forth.

Diego cracked up laughing, Ariana giggled and Serena covered her mouth as we watched Dante Mendez swinging hopelessly.

He put his hands out on the ground to stop himself from moving before he sighed.

“Okay. I’m stuck.” He said and I couldn’t hold the laughter back anymore as Serena tried to help him.

“Stop filming and help,” Dante said as he stood again, the seat nice and snug around his hips.

“No way. This is gold and I can’t wait to show Al and Liam.” I said and Diego nodded in agreement.

A crowd began to grow of parents and kids coming to watch the spectacle as Serena and Dante tried to pull it off.

“Maybe we can lift him.” A man said helpfully and Serena nodded, stepping back to let two dads lift Dante while Serena tried to pull the swing off.

“That thing is stuck tight. Ain’t no way we are going to tug it off.” One of the men said as he tried not to laugh.

“I just texted Tio Alejandro.” Diego said next to me and Diego’s phone lit up with a call.

“Hey, Tio. Yeah. He’s stuck. Theo is filming it.” He said and I could hear Alejandro’s laughter.

“Can we detach it somehow?” Serena asked as Dante stood there, glaring at everyone looking ridiculous with the swing around his hips.

“Tio said Liam is on his way,” Diego said as he hung up the phone.

More people began to appear out of their homes, wondering what the crowd was for and Ariana tucked herself against my leg.

“I think we are going to have to call the fire department. They have the tools to get this done.” One of the men said as Serena stepped back, defeated.

“No. Absolutely not. Not happening.” Dante snarled and shoved at the seat with renewed vigor.

“I’ll make the call,” Liam said from behind us, a little out of breath. He had obviously jogged down the road.

Dante glared at him but didn’t protest as Liam took a few steps away to make a phone call.

“I warned you, man,” I said and Dante stuck his finger up at me.
