The man refused to even consider marriage, even though his family had done this for generations.

Later, after Stacy had showered and put on jeans and a shirt, she came down the stairs. The men were waiting for her, their heads together. It was like they were plotting and she wasn’t certain of what, but last night had been mind-blowing.
