Page 2 of Loving My Cowboys

The big house was empty and creaked and moaned at night. Fear had her sleeping on the horsehair couch her mother had been so proud of.

While she had managed on her own for six months, it was time for her to fill her bed. Someone to teach her the ways between a man and a woman. Someone to scratch this itch she knew only a man could fulfill. And she wanted someone to love her and the Sweet B.

Today, she’d donned her prettiest dress. This morning she bathed, fixed her hair with the hot iron, and made certain she looked her best.

She knew what she had to do. After she went to the bank, she planned on talking to the preacher about any eligible young men who might be interested in her as a wife.

It was time to go husband hunting. It was time to find herself a man.

Seth

Texas Ranger, Seth Ingram, swayed in the saddle on the way to find the last member of the gang who killed his family. All the others had been turned in and hanged. This final man would complete the journey he’d been on since his teens.

“You know, Seth, once we find Calvin Smith, I’m thinking about finding me a woman and settling down. I know we’ve often thought of sharing a woman, but this way if you wanted to continue being a Texas Ranger, you could.”

His best friend, Will Parker, rode beside him. For the last five years, they had fought and killed side by side.

Their horses plodded along the trail that led them to Blessing, Texas, where Calvin Smith was rumored to be hiding. This was their life. As Texas Rangers, they were sent to different areas of the state looking for criminals, men who had done something wrong. The worst lawbreakers.

“You’re just horny for a woman,” Seth said.

“That I am. But you’re up for a promotion. This is your life; you’ll never quit.”

As long as Calvin Smith was free, Will was right. Calvin was the last of the gang and he couldn’t rest until they were all behind bars or swinging from a tree.

“I’m tired of this lifestyle. Chasing bad men, arresting them, and hauling them back to Waco. It’s time to settle down with a warm woman between my legs, my cock buried inside her.”

“Why not go to a whorehouse and find another woman. Maybe we can do that tonight.”

It wasn’t that Seth didn’t long for a warm cunny to shove his cock in, just the thought made him hard. But if they were going to share a woman permanently, she would need to understand they were both her men. She would be treated with the utmost respect, cherished, loved, and fucked thoroughly.

As they rode into the edge of Blessing. Will’s voice sounded frustrated. “I want more. Someone I know who will always be there. Who will bear our children. Aren’t you tired of this life?”

“Some days,” Seth responded. It was true. He grew tired of the trail, but his vengeance demanded he find all the gang members who slaughtered his loved ones. One remained loose. One last son of a bitch who would soon swing from a tree.

The town appeared a bustling center of commerce as they rode down Main Street heading towards the sheriff’s office to check in and learn if he had seen their criminal. Seth knew he would delight in beating the shit out of Calvin Smith and hauling his ass back to jail.

From the barn, he watched the man shoot and kill his beloved dog, who had been trying to warn the family. At sixteen, he’d been a terrified kid who knew they were outnumbered as they shot his family one by one. Except his sister who hid inside the house that they burned to the ground.

As a grown man, he would delight in making Calvin Smith face justice for what he’d done that night.

“Look up there, people are screaming and running out of the bank.”

“Bank robbery,” Seth said.

They spurred their horses, galloping through town. When they reached the bank, they jumped off their horses and sprinted up the steps of the building. Just as they reached the door, a blonde woman came running outside with the bag of money in her hand.

“Stop right there, ma’am,” Will said, reaching for his gun.

“No,” she cried and muttered something as she continued to run down the stairs.

Seth shook his head. “Damn, she’s a pretty one and I hate to do this.”

He leaped onto her back taking her to the ground, he rolled her over. The sound of her dress ripping didn’t stop him as he sat on top of her, grabbing her hands, pressing them above her head.

“He’s getting away,” she cried. “Stop the man running.”
