“We came as soon as we received your telegram. Looks like we missed all the action,” Captain Clark Bell said.

The sheriff’s eyes widened and he looked frightened.

“Now you can stick around and help clean up the town,” Seth said. “Starting with Calvin Smith, who is the last man left from the Mercardo gang. But I will put in a good word for him. He tried to stop what was going on here today. Took a bullet because of his words.”

The captain took his reins from Seth. “Get some rest. We’ve got everything under control here. Men spread out and round up the men behind the barrels, including the sheriff.”

“Captain, the shopkeepers are on our side. Leave them be. They were trying to help us.”

The man nodded. “Will do. Now go get some rest and we’ll talk soon.”

Lily stepped into her stirrups and climbed on the back of her horse. Will knew that she would suffer punishment for taking such a risk. Yet, he was also proud of the way she tried to defend them.

But they didn’t need defending. They were her men. Her protectors and they were the ones who took care of her.

With a kick to their horses, they headed for home.

The ride home was quiet and she could feel the tension in the air. They should be happy. They had stopped Jim White for good. There was no more danger and yet she feared they were angry with her for trying to defend her husbands.

When they rode out of town, the people cheered and yet she could tell that something was wrong. All she wanted to do now was celebrate with her men, but they were being quiet. Way too quiet.

On the ride home, all she could think about was now the Sweet B would forever be their ranch. That no one would steal it from them and that they could raise their children in the same home she grew up in.

As they rode up the drive, tears came to her eyes as she thought of her loved ones that had been taken from her. No more death. Now was the time to celebrate.

When they reached the house, Will helped her from her horse.

“Go in the house, go upstairs, strip and wait for us,” he said.

That didn’t sound good. They should be celebrating the end of Jim White’s tyranny. They should be celebrating that they were no longer in danger.

“What’s wrong?”

“Go in the house, Lily,” Seth said.

With a whirl, she flounced into the house. Why did they always have to be in control? Part of her wanted to rebel and the other part knew she better do as they said or she could find herself in even more trouble.

She removed her clothes, got on the bed and laid her forehead on her hands. In this position, with her ass up in the air, she waited for them. Anxious and yet now that she was in this position, she was also excited to think about their cocks entering her pussy.

In a moment, she heard their boots on the stairs and them talking low. They were up to something and she wasn’t sure she was going to like it.

When they came in, she snuck a peek as they began to remove their clothing. The expressions on their faces was not one of happiness or even joy.

“Why are you mad?” she asked, knowing she was in trouble.

“Did you put yourself at risk today?” Seth asked.

“I was protecting you,” she said. “We were in this together.”

There was silence and she knew they were not agreeing with her.

When they were both naked, Will sat and pulled her onto his lap. “We are your men. We protect you. You are not to ever again, get involved in the middle of a shootout. Do you understand me?”

He was angry. In fact, his dark eyes were furious.
