“I cannot,” I murmur, and Tomas smiles at me with those crooked teeth.

The stench is horrendous, and I sigh, knowing that the dogs are trying their hardest to break the mood. That’s what they are. Mood killers.

I should go outside with Tomas and watch the stars. That’s nothing but romantic.

“Let’s go outside,” I say, and Tomas doesn’t even question me, just stands up and walks to the front door. The dogs get up and follow, but thank fuck it’s the open air and Wonton can fart all the live long day.

We settle on the swing, and I sit far too close to Tomas—basically on his lap—but no one says a word, except Nibblet who huffs and puffs. For a little guy, he sure does breathe like a large man.

“Beautiful out here without the lights of the city,” I say, and Tomas nods, rocking the swing slightly with those thick thighs.

“Yeah, it really is.”

The fresh country air, the twinkling open night sky. I turn to face him, and he grins softly at me. And that’s all I can take. I throw my leg over his lap and straddle him, grabbing on to his jaw like I wanted to back in the house, and lower my mouth onto his.

Tomas’s hands come up to my hips and he holds me in place, his head tilting as his tongue pushes into my mouth. I accept it, the feel of him sliding into me, the dream of another part of him entering me as well. It makes my skin flame, makes my entire body quake with need.

I want so much more than this. I want just this.

I justwant.

My hips grind against his groin, and a low groan slips from his throat into my mouth. I swallow it down, letting his fingers dig into my sides as he holds on for dear life. I have never in my life been this turned on, never in my life had sex feel this real. Usually it’s all a performance, but this isn’t. This is real and raw.

Me.

Him.

Us.

“Oh god,” I moan as my lips leave his to breathe. I can’t fucking breathe.

His lips trail down my jaw and to my throat, sucking soft kisses onto my skin.

“More,” I add as I rut against him, wanting to draw this out as long as possible, wanting to watch him come.

Wanting to come.

“Fuck, you’re so hot. Why are you so hot?” Tomas asks, and I can’t even formulate an answer. I just go back to kissing him now that I’ve caught my breath. It feels like forever and yet it’s been just seconds.

But eventually, a horn honks in the distance and pulls us out of our bubble. Our foreheads collide, the two of us panting.

I don’t want this night to end. I realize this is probably a lot for Tomas, but I’m afraid to let him go. “Don’t go. Want to watch another movie?”

He smiles at that, all shy and cute, and damn it, this is so not good. And so damn perfect all at the same time. “Yeah. I’d like that.”

I take his hand and lead him back inside to the couch, where I don’t hesitate to snuggle against his side, his heavy, muscled arm wrapped around me. In this moment, I’m so perfectly warm and safe.

“Do not fart,” I announce to the dogs who’ve followed us back in. Nibblet has grass on his nose, and I sigh when he wipes it on the nearest chair.

“Do dogs always smell this bad?” I ask as I close my eyes. Tomas starts another movie up as he chuckles beneath me.

“Usually not, but these three seem particularly gassy.”

“Ugh, the worst,” I murmur as I burrow in further. Fuck, he smells good, feels good.

Everything about him is just right.

There will never be another like him.
