“Princess?” I ask, and Damon nods.

“I may have named him. There’s nothing wrong with that. I amnotattached.”

Princess woofs, and I see Damon nearly melt.

“Come on, let’s take a shower. You’re a mess, and I could use one too.”

Damon eyes me, that dark gaze sliding down my body. “You really are filthy. All that oil and grease. Come on, let’s go. Put Princess in his cage.”

I walk into my room and see it, the large kennel with an enormous dog bed inside.

I deposit him inside, and he wags his tail, starting to whine when I leave, but we really do need a shower. And we can let him out as soon as we are done.

“I can’t believe you got a dog.”

“Well, I was coerced. He looked at me with sad eyes as I passed, and before I knew it, he was in my car.”

I snort a laugh as he starts to undress me.

“Off,” he says. “Hurry. We don’t want to leave Princess in there too long. He gets lonely.”

I cock an eyebrow at him, but don’t argue. Quickly, I strip everything off as he watches me, my cock swelling instantly. The ravenous look he gives my entire body is just too much to resist. But it’s always like this. I shouldn’t be surprised.

“Yes, my filthy boyfriend does need a shower.”

I love the sound of that. I can’t wait to hearboyfriendreplaced withhusband.

It’s too fast.

I shouldn’t fucking go there, but it’s too late. I want it too badly. I’m already envisioning it—the wedding, kids, our whole fucking life.

Damon starts the shower and then undresses himself slowly, teasing me with each piece of clothing as it falls to the floor.

“Tomas?”

“Yes?” My voice is raspy. He gets me going every time. It never gets old and it never will.

“Shower.”

“Oh. Right.” I drag my eyes off of him and then climb into the shower. He joins me a moment later, and I can’t take it any longer. I pull his body to mine and taste his sweet mouth.

He whimpers softly as I lick into him, tasting him, savoring him. When we finally pull away, Damon’s eyes are hooded and I’m about ready to bend him over. But before I do, I tell him once again how I feel. “I love you. You don’t need to say it back. I just want to tell you that I love you so fucking much. I never saw it coming. Never saw any of it coming, but I’m so damn glad it did. I’m so glad you came into my life. I’ve never been happier.”

Damon’s breathing rapidly now, his eyes pointed down but he doesn’t pull away from me. I’m about to say something—anything—change the subject so he doesn’t feel any pressure to say it back. But he kisses me softly, wrapping his arms around my neck. “I love you too.”

I open my mouth to tell him he doesn’t have to say that, but he brings one hand away from my neck and places a finger over my lips.

“I love you. I’ve been meaning to say it for a while. But I was scared. I didn’t think it was possible that I’d ever find the perfect man to fall in love with, but I did. I went and fell for you, Tomas. You’re it for me. Everything about you is perfection.”

My heart is galloping in my chest now, and I lean in and kiss him hard because this was never what I thought I wanted, but it’s everything to me now.

My Damon. Mine.

“I love you more, I think,” I grumble and Damon huffs a laugh.

“Oh, I don’t think that’s possible.”

We continue kissing until we hear a high-pitched bark and then we quickly wash, putting aside the need to fuck so that we can take care of the dog that Damon positively loathes.
