‘Come on, darling boy,’ I say, putting my hand around Taylor’s shoulder. ‘Let’s go for a drive, I’ve got something I need to say to you.’

Taylor
Watching Harrison take down Nico and the investors from the city was something that I don’t think I’ll ever forget.
I know from speaking to some of the other Blue Collar Boys that Harrison is a man who comes with a reputation for being tough, almost ruthless in business. For a long time, a lot of Littles were even scared of Harrison too.
But watching Harrison so firmly put an end to Nico showed me that while he may be all the things that people say he is, Harrison is also a lot more than that too.
There was a dignity to how Harrison established his authority.
Even though Harrison would most likely have enjoyed taking Nico apparat piece by piece, my Daddy kept things dignified – after all, it was Nico who ran himself into the ditch!
But now me and my Daddy are driving away from the construction site and I’m wondering exactly where we’re going… andwhywe’re going there.
‘All will be revealed, boy,’ Harrison says, a big smile on his face as he drops down a gear and the engine revs. ‘Trust me, I think you’re going to like this.’
I look out of the window and see that we’re driving toward the coast and a series of beaches just on the outskirts of Los Torros.
‘Are we going for a swim?’ I say, desperate to know where we’re going.
‘Be patient, boy,’ Harrison replies, his voice full of love but also with a hint of that Daddy sternness too. ‘As I said, all will be revealed.’
I smile and then giggle as Harrison makes a swift turn to the left, and before I know it, we’re driving down a steep and winding path toward the beach.
‘Okay, so here we are,’ Harrison says, putting the brakes on and bringing the car to a halt.
‘Where are we… wait, is this place yours?’ I say, stepping out of the car and looking at the small beach house.
‘Sure is,’ Harrison replies. ‘This was my first ever property purchase and redevelopment. I loved it so much that I bought it back later down the line. What do you think?’
‘It’s so cute!’ I say, walking over toward the white picket fence that surrounds the house’s perimeter. ‘Do you come here much?’
‘Sometimes,’ Harrison says, walking with me toward the front gate. ‘But not as often as I’d like. I use this place to keep old stuff. Things from my childhood, various bits and pieces that I can’t bear to get rid of. But anyway, here’s the thing … I brought you hear for a reason, boy.’
‘Okay…’ I say, my heart suddenly racing as I realize that Harrison is gearing up to tell me something. ‘Should I be worried?’
‘Ha! No, you shouldnotbe worried,’ Harrison says, stopping and putting his arms around my waist. ‘Unless you think me telling you that I think you’re the most special boy in the whole world is cause for worry?’
I giggle and feel my body tingle with a rush of excitement and nervous energy. Is Harrison saying what I think he’s saying?
‘I love you, Taylor,’ Harrison says, his eyes full of emotion. ‘You’re one of a kind and I want you to be mine forever. If you’ll have me that is?’
‘Of course I will!’ I reply, my eyes filling with tears of pure joy. ‘You’ve made my move to Los Torros even more perfect than I dreamed was possible. I love you more than anything!’
‘Even protein pancakes?’ Harrison says, arching his eyebrow.
‘Hehe, yeah, even more than protein pancakes!’ I giggle, the pair of us hugging one another like our lives depended on it. ‘Are you my Forever Daddy now?’
‘That’s the plan,’ Harrison replies. ‘And you know me, when I put a plan in place, I always deliver.’
