Colton: I wish you hadn’t left the lab.
My pulse went faster. I hovered with my fingers over the screen for a few seconds before answering.
Zoey: Why? What else did you plan to do to me?
I saved his number quickly. Just as I finished, another message popped up.
Colton: So many things.
I crossed my legs, already feeling an ache form between them.
Colton: I meant what I said. I don't do this. I've never taken a woman there before.
Zoey: I believe you.
Colton: I still owe you an explanation.
I frowned.What for?
Colton: Are you free Monday evening?
Zoey: Yes.
Colton: I can't wait to see you.
My face exploded into a grin. I couldn't wait either.

Zoey
The second I sat downon Monday and opened my computer, I went into Colton's schedule and frowned. It was much fuller than I remembered from last week. Actually, last week he'd had multiple meetings every day. Now he just seemed to be in one meeting from morning until late in the evening each day. I was supposed to go in his office at nine, but I didn't see an opening now.
I grabbed my phone to text him and found I already had one from him.
