I immediately do as he asks, hoping that it will get me out from under this freezing cold water. Lathering the bar of soap in my hands, I drag it over my icy skin.

“Time to go find out how much your husband really loves you,” he smirks as he tucks his phone back into his pocket.
The cold water from my hair continues to run down my torso, my whole body trembles, as I listen to the creak of the stairs.
I try to curl my body tight in an attempt to get warm. My face resting on my knees, I sob silently against my cold flesh.
