“It’s our house. We’re married.”

I smile. “You know what I mean.”

He turns to me with a serious look. “And did you not understand what I mean?” His powerful glare slices through me.

“I guess I don’t. I appreciate what you’re doing, and I like it when we kiss, but…are we in a relationship?”

Lachlan looks away. “Marriageisa relationship. We live together. You like sleeping in my bed, so yeah, I guess we are. We’ll just take each day as it comes before your audition.” The words flow off his tongue, thoughtful and deep.

I think they surprise even him. Like he just realized what we’re doing. We had an explosive start. Clearly, this was a spur-of-the-moment decision after seeing Rahil the night before. Lachlan acted on instinct, and so did I by saying yes.

But Lachlan appears tolikeme, likes kissing me, likes holding me at night. I like him, too. How can I not? Look what he’s done for me? Everything about him takes my breath away, and that confidence he has makes him a twelve on a scale of one to ten.

I’m just afraid that massive cock will hurt me and put a damper on things if we take this further.

“Maybe we shouldn’t put a label on this,” I say, sorting through my thoughts.

“Exactly.” He kisses my hand. “I’ve always been the square peg trying to fit into a round hole.”

I giggle. “Well, you’re so big.”

“You have no idea, little wife.” He strokes his chest.

I havemorethan an idea. I held that massive muscle between his legs. Made it come all over my hands.

We listen to the music in silence for the rest of the drive. When we get to my school, Lachlan cuts off a line of Ubers dropping off other students.

“You can let me out here. The school is very safe. Papa’s driver didn’t come inside.” When Lachlan growls, I reach over and kiss his cheek. “Trust me…um.”

“Um?” He holds my face.

“I was wondering what to call you. You call me little wife.”

“Do you like it?”

“When you explained it, I did like it because you made an effort to come up with something.” I smile. “Is there a nickname you’d like?”

“I’ve never been in a relationship. This is new to me. I’ll let you decide.” He pecks me on the nose.

That’s something I’ll have to think about. “You need some sleep. You have circles under your eyes.” And blood stains on his hands, which I don’t ask about. I lean over and kiss his eyes. “I finish up around five p.m.”

“I’ll be right in front of the school.”

I glance around. “Sometimes the spots are blocked off.”

“I’ll be right here. No one blocks me.” His voice gets dangerously low. “Wait for me to open your door.” He pushes out of the car and lets me out.

“Bye, and thank you for driving me.” I hug him.

“Do you need money?” He breathes against my neck.

Dread kicks me in the gut. I only found a few singles in my school bag. “I guess.”

Smiling, he takes out his wallet and hands me a wad of twenties. “Here.”

“That’s too much.” I peel off one twenty.

“Take more.”
