“And why do you think that?” she says, her mouth still slightly agape, a classic mascara-applying look.

I chuckle to myself, because I know how to present this to Becca in a way that won't sound dumb and will genuinely intrigue her.

I might not have been born a genius like my brother, but I was definitely born diabolic.

“Because I've already figured out you've got a crush on my brother.”

“W-what are you even saying...?” Becca stumbles over her words and pauses.

“I've got an idea that could help you, and it'll make things even more fun,” I take hold of her wrists, encouraging her to keep going and diverting her focus.

“Your ‘Fun’ smells like trouble.”

“I promise there won't be any trouble, I guarantee there won't be any trouble, as long as you keep that pretty mouth of yours shut, because I'll do the same,” I turn my face away and signal for her to continue, softening the impact of my proposal.

I make everything seem like a small matter, much easier for Little Becca to digest, completely clueless about where her curiosity has taken her.

“What are you thinking of?”

“I promised I'd keep your little secret obsession, right?”

“Stop calling it that!” Becca complains and taps the razor randomly, feeling it pinch me.

“Fuck!” I hiss and pull away. “Be careful!”

“Go on!” She grabs my chin and starts gliding over my skin again.

“I'll keep our little secret...”

“As long as I do what you ask,” she reminds me for what feels like the hundredth time, and I can't help but admire her persistence.

“What a good girl!” I chuckle appreciatively, tempted to give her a friendly pat, but I don't want to let go of her smooth knees. “Remember how I told you at the beginning that Sami can't stand obsessed girls?”

“I remember that perfectly, but I'm not...”

“Yeah, yeah... you're definitely not obsessed,” I burst out with amusement. “But what if I taught you how to be the type of girl that Samael would fall for?”

“The kind of girl Samael would fall for?” She blinks, intrigued.

The way she says his name, with such fondness, makes me bare my teeth even more and fully commit to this game.

“Yep. I know him pretty well, he's my brother after all, and I know he can't stand overly innocent and... inexperienced girls. Like you, Becca.”

“Like me?”

“Yeah...” I lean in and catch a whiff of her scent. “I bet you're not even familiar with your own body. If you're open to it... I could offer some guidance. Let me show you how amazing it can feel in the right hands.”

Her eyes, a vivid blue like a clear summer sky, drop to my lips, and I feel her gaze burning me. I'm tempted to kiss her, and I lean in a bit more. My palms rest more firmly on her delicate knees, and my fingers press gently into her soft skin. Our mouths are so close that her scent takes over me, and it's like I can't get enough of it, like I need her breath more than the air I breathe. Her face is mere inches away, and I can almost taste the sweetness of her lips against mine. But Becca turns her head, leaving me hungrier than ever, aching for the taste of her mouth.

“If my dad finds out, he'll kill me.”

Seriously? That's her main concern right now?

Father, you keep ruining my plans!

Jesus! I'm half-tempted to leap out of the window.

“Don't you already have enough on your plate? Sneaking into my room repeatedly, nearly midnight, stealing from the school cafeteria, and leaving those street cats hungry? Do you really want us to make a sin list for you? ‘Cause it’s pretty impressive.”
