will let him know we weren't there. He'll give me shit until the end of time for missing his game."

"Haven't you ever missed one of his games before?" She sat up, her hair a beautiful mess.

"Only if I have a really good excuse. All of the guys are huge Coyotes fans because of Hale."

She pursed her lips before blowing out a breath. "Okay, but I'm only getting out of this bed because I love you and everything you've got going on so much."

Her eyes dropped to my naked body and I grabbed a pillow and put it in front of myself. "Hey! None of that, my eyes are up here. If you keep looking at me like you want to eat me, we'll never get out of here. I'm trying to get you out of bed, not me into it."

She sighed dramatically. "Fiiine." She climbed out of bed and started grabbing clothes. I walked around the bed and pressed a kiss to the top of her head and she dropped the clothes she was holding and reached for me. I stepped away quickly, laughing and swatting her hand away.

"Nice try, but you don't get any more of this until after the party." I pointed at my dick.

She narrowed her eyes. "Is that so?"

I swallowed hard. I did not like the look in her eye or her tone of voice. She wasn't going to make this easy on me, especially since I hated telling her no. "Mmhmm."

"We'll see." She turned and gathered her clothes from the floor, and I exhaled. This was going to be a long afternoon.

I letmyself into my parent's house, and I knew we were the last ones to show up based on the level of noise coming from the living room. The game hadn't started yet, but we were cutting it close.

We made our way into the living room and Amara set down her purse before my mom jumped up and wrapped her in a huge hug. She pulled back and reached out as if to touch her stomach before pulling back. "Can I?"

Amara nodded and pulled her hand to her stomach and my mom rubbed her bump, her eyes a little misty. "I still can't believe I get to be a grandma to this little one."

"Okay, enough hogging my girl!" Kennedy jumped up and squeezed Amara before pulling her down on the couch in between her and Montana. Guess I'd be joining the guys by the TV.

Crossing the room, I stepped into the kitchen and grabbed myself a beer. When I walked back into the living room, Zen caught my eye and tilted his chin up in greeting. I stepped up next to him. "Hey."

"Hey, man. You ready to watch little bro kick some ass on the field today?" He sipped his beer.

"You know it." I laughed. The guys liked to give me endless shit about the fact my little brother was bigger than I was and could probably beat the shit out of me if he wanted to since he made a living taking guys down. In all honesty, I was probably Hale's biggest fan, though, outside of our parents.

Maddox came up beside me and shoved me playfully with his shoulder. "Hale must have gotten all the balls between the two of you. What kind of sport is surfing anyway?"

"If he'd gotten all the balls, I'm fairly certain that wouldn't have been possible." I pointed at Amara with a smug smile on my face.

"Oh, shit. Looks like I need some new material." Maddox cracked up before throwing a handful of pretzels in his mouth at once. He looked ridiculous.

"Have you guys been keeping up this season? King seems to have something messing up his game, so Hale's really had to step up." Jericho jumped into the conversation. He was all about stats and lit up when we talked football. I'd noticed Kingston Reed, the Coyote's star wideout, had been struggling this year, but my brother didn't really talk about it much. King was one of his best friends on the team, so I didn't try to pry.

"Yeah, he's looked like a fucking trainwreck this season." Zen glanced at the TV where pre-game stats were running across the screen.

"Whatever it is, let's hope he figures it out in time for the postseason," I said.

"At least that trade for Shaw fucking Cassidy seems to be paying off." Maddox pointed to the screen where the massive defensive end was warming up. "That guy's a beast."

"Have you met him yet? I wouldn't want to get on that guy's bad side." Jericho asked me.

"Nope, but once the season's over, I'm sure Hale will bring them down here to train with him, and I'll probably meet him then." I glanced across the room and made eye contact with Amara. She smiled at me and I raised my eyebrow, holding up a cup. She nodded and I poured her some lemonade, excusing myself from the guys to take care of my girl.

"Here, mama." I handed her the cup, leaning down to kiss her gently.

"Aww, you two and so freaking adorable I can hardly stand it." Kennedy looked at us with wide eyes and a huge grin on her face.

I narrowed my eyes. "If you keep teasing us, I'll call Zen over here and tell him you're jealous of Amara and want a baby, too."
