For the next ten minutes, the five of them, along with Steve, Sulien, McKenna, and Ember cleared the buildings. They took out the four hunters that McKenna and Ember had found in the classrooms building before they gathered at the armory with Trick and Ranger who were taking care of Stiletto.

Glancing around, Ordys noticed that Skull and Rock were missing. “Where are Rock and Skull?”

“They were going to get what they could from the security and computer systems,” Vega answered. “I already called Tana to warn her.”

“She’ll give them what she has, right?”

Vega nodded.

“What are we doing about all these weapons?” Brute asked as he looked in the front door of the armory, examining the contents.

“Nothing. We don’t have time to load them up.” Ordys approached Trick and Ranger, who were crouched over Stiletto and working. “We need to get her into the van, so us dragons can down the place.”

Trick looked up at him with his brows furrowed. “Down the place?”

“Dragon fire,” he said.

“We need a stretcher,” Ranger called out as he continued to work on Stiletto.

Trick stood and headed into the armory. Brute followed him inside, and they returned a few minutes later with a board that had previously been used as a wide shelf.

“Steve, call me when they are out.”

The vampire waved him off, still sipping on his second victim, but eventually nodded.

Leaving them to handle that, Ordys motioned for Vega, Sulien, McKenna, and Ember to follow him. As soon as the Howlers were off the property, they needed to get to work. The smoke would draw attention, so there wasn’t time to drag it out or for error. The buildings, and any proof of dead bodies, needed to be destroyed before the first responders reached the property and made it through the gates.

Ordys had just finished assigning dragons to buildings when Rock and Skull came out of the main building, each carrying a box. Trailing behind them was Tana. Her eyes were locked on the back of Skull’s head, and she had an odd expression on her face. If he had to guess, it was curiosity mixed with fascination. He was briefly curious about that, but it wasn’t the time to question her.

“We need a vehicle to carry these in. We only have our bikes,” Skull stated.

“Load them in my car,” Tana said and started around the corner of the building, headed for the parking lot.

“They need to go to the Howlers compound,” Skull commented as he took a few steps in that direction.

Tana stopped and turned to face him. “You’re my mate. If you think I’m going anywhere but where you go, you’ve lost your shit. Load. Them. In. My. Car.”

A wide grin appeared on the face of the bald vice president of the Howlers MC, right before he followed Tana around the building. Rock trailed behind them, rolling his eyes.

“Well, that explains her weird expression,” he mumbled under his breath.

The other dragons around him chuckled.

His phone rang, and he answered the call.

“They are gone, but they dropped me and Brute off at the bikes parked on the east road. I’m taking Ranger’s bike. Brute’s taking his own. We’re going to the cabin.”

“I’ll get Rock and Skull to their bikes.”

“Are you coming to the cabin?” Steve asked.

“Yes. Give us ten and we’re in the cars.”

“Got it.”

The vampire ended the call, and the dragons got to work.
