I jolted upright, face even hotter.

Micah handed me a cup of coffee, eyes twinkling, his lips still curved upward.

“Th-thanks.” I stared—considered brushing my fingertips across his—and glanced up again into his eyes.

He spun the mug so the handle faced me. “Here.”

I accepted the coffee without touching him and slumped back in my chair.Should have gone for it, I told myself while sipping. The thought didn’t stir anxiety. Only longing.

Rather than walking into his office, he lounged on the chair across from my desk.

Flutters of something stirred in my belly, and I smiled for real. “Thanks for the coffee.”

“You’re welcome. So.” He stretched out his long legs. “What toys would you want in those magic bags we send along with our escorts ifyoubooked someone for the night?”

Another rush of warmth swept through me, flaming my face and making me squirm in my seat again. “Uh…”

“I’m asking for professional reasons, as your boss, not to appease my own kinks.”

Oh, God.

“Okay.” I cleared my throat but couldn’t make myself look at him to see if his eyes betrayed a lie. Dina had said he was trustworthy—and I believed my sister. “I think you’ve got the basics covered already, and we add additional items by request, right?”

“Yes.”

I shrugged and pulled the website back up onscreen. “N-Nothing, then, really.”

“What about the nipple clamps you were checking out? Their teeth appeared a little more hardcore than the ones we currently have.”

Curses rang between my ears at Micah’s suggestion. I couldn’t look at him. “Um…sure?”

“Maybe we should have a dragon cock dildo in stock in case a client is feeling extra brave. Or, at least bigger sized plugs.”

He sipped his coffee while I attempted to keep from choking on my own saliva. How long had he been watching me?

“Paddles with holes leave beautiful patterns on the skin,” he continued, his voice hinting at a sensual smirk, “but canes are my absolute favorite.”

My lungs constricted but not from panic. Why did my boss have to speak about things that stole my breath in a good way? I wanted to moan. Curse him for being so damn hot. The thought of going out with Micah and having one of those bags at his disposal made the walls of my pussy pulse, and I slammed my eyelids shut and squeezed my thighs together.

Breathe, Jasmine…

“If you could go any place in the world, where would it be?”

His off-the-wall question snapped me back to the office, slamming the car I rode toward arousal to a halt. “Huh?”

“Bucket-list vacation—where would you go?” Zero heat lit his gaze, and his smirk lifted into a full, friendly smile rather than the suggestive one I could have sworn he’d worn seconds earlier.

“P-Paris,” I shared where I’d always dreamed of traveling.

“Why Paris?”

“It seems like the place for lovers.”

“Who would you take along with you?” He swigged his coffee, gaze still on me.

I opened my mouth but shut it again and shrugged.

“No boyfriend?”
