She takes a step forward, rests her head on my good shoulder, and inhales a few times. "You smell nice."
I can't help but chuckle; she and her changing emotions are adorable.
"Are you ready?" I whisper in her ear.
"Yes, and no."
"Let's do this together. It's you and me, Angel."
She lifts her head, and I peck her forehead.
"Let's find out what we're dealing with."
We turn around, and I bring the small stick up without turning it. Racing hearts, perspiring hands, and two breaths later, I turn the stick around, facing the indicator. And...
My eyes stare at the white indicator screen showing the result. Millions of thoughts run through my head when a sob gets my attention. My head spins to the side to find Emma's tears falling like a waterfall. I pull her into my embrace, and at the moment her green eyes meet mine, I crash my lips on hers. Her salty tears, combined with the sweetness of her tongue, fill me with yearning. After a minute or two being lip locked, she breaks the kiss.
"I'm—"
My finger comes up and presses against her lips, stopping her.
"We're pregnant," I say.
The corners of her lips go up as she sees my bright, beaming smile.
"We're pregnant," she repeats.
